REPORTING OFFICER: Vice Admiral Marenta Jean

COMMODORE'S LOG

Day 17 - Harassment

The Challenge has swooped in to take Spar Alpha from the Warrior. This is fine and the nature of war games. However, the propagandists on board the Challenge have sent out a rather disturbing voice message to goad my pilots. I must say that they've responded admiralbly, but have made posters to circulate among the masses at Spar Alpha to encourage the support of our ship, the rightful protector of Spar Alpha. I am quite pleased.

Day 21 - Protocol

I found the scraps of the COM's previous Protocol Droid under some of the trash that has yet to be cleared away. The Twi-leks have gotten pretty good about cleaning up the ship, but there are only so many of them and so much... stuff everywhere needing attention. This does answer my question about where the previous Protocol Droid went. I suppose I will have to ask the crew if they know of any good replacements.

Day 25 - Stage 1 Clear

Our first intentional engagement has been resolved. The Hammer put up a significant fight, and did quite a bit of damage (simulated) to my fleet. We won the planet, but I fear we have only nudged awake a sleeping Rancor, who may decide to retaliate or even escalate. For now, we keep on trading barbs with the Challenge, but hopefully we haven't gone too far astray from our defensive strategy. My pilots fought very well, and I have received a lot of very good input in our strategy meetings.

Day 31 - Stressors

I swear if I didn't already have white in my hair, I would be going more noticibly gray. The Challenge arrived at Moddell with a fleet almost exactly the same size as mine. Obviously, this has led to a quandry in the games. Both Silwar and I are acting strategically, and neither had anticipated this encounter. We have agreed to a somewhat peaceful ceasefire and withdrawal. This may end up hurting us, but there are 12 more turns left in this blighted war, then I can go back to drinking with my compatriots instead of trying to outsmart them.

Day 36 - Disagreements and Disillusions

There isn't a day that goes by that a person shouldn't at least reflect on their past decisions. Reflections can be a useful tool for evaluation and growth. I would like to say the past few days have been such for me. Much turmoil and many old hurts have resurfaced across the fleet, but the Warrior and her pilots have remained steadfast. While I have fostered a high level of participation in the war game for my pilots, I know that any success we have as a ship will be a combined effort; whereas the failure of the ship rests solely on my shoulders. Heavy is this burden, but at least some good has occured! I have started to receive recommendations for a new Protocol Droid, so hopefully I won't need to spend so much time doing administrative tasks.

FROM THE DESK OF THE COMMODORE

Warriors, prepare for war!

First, and foremost, the Warrior will be embarking on a massive war spree across the sector. We have bided our time and held on to many planets defensively, but it's now time for the last few turns of the game. These turns have always been very action-packed, and I suspect this year's Imperial Storm will be no different. So, to my Warriors, prepare for war.

Secondly, my first month as WarCOM has been quite tumultuous in how the ship is structured. HA Plif and I spoke about staffing quite extensively. A number of issues came up during these discussions that prompted a change in the orientation of squadrons, expanding to a fourth flight in lieu of standing up another squadron. At the time of these discussions, we were at max capacity with a few members pending AWOL checks, and we could not afford to take any more members on as we didn't have the space to do so. We agreed to run 4-flight squadrons on the Warrior to see if it was feasible. I know there is, and will be, grumbling about this decision. So, to allay those questions, I will clearly state that 4-flight squadrons has a GO/NO-GO test for me, and that is my CMDRs. My CMDRs need to be able to handle the additional people, the additional administrative burden, and the additional time. If my CMDRs find the addition of four people to their squadron an excessive burden that cannot be solved with creative XO/FL duties, then the additional flights are untenable and further discussions for a new squadron will take place. The openings of the new flights has shifted focus back onto the nicknames, mottos, and ships selections - which is always refreshing.

Third, I am still searching for a Theta CMDR to replace GN Pete Mitchell, who would like to go back to his flying and leave the desk. I have had a handful of applicants, all of which have been given follow-up questions. I suspect that due to IS4, any reshuffling of personnel may be delayed pending conclusion. So, while I will probably make a selection from the candidates that have shown an interest already, there is no guarantee that anybody will be moved until after May 8. Hopefully in time for MSEs!

Fourth in line, is training. I still want to have Saturday training sessions to help pilots with setting up eh.org logins, TCCORE, and SM/5 exams. If there is enough interest, I can see branching into other exams as well as long as there are instructors for these courses. I have set up a training-room VC in the Warrior's discord area, but I may ask Plif to set up a Stage VC in the main audible operations or training operations portions of the discord so that everybody can utilize the VC to give classes. I'll keep you all posted.

WARRIOR FUTURE ACTIVITY

Upcoming activity:

We have 7 more turns of Imperial Storm remaining. These last few turns are going to be intense, so strap in, and expect to be fighting from Sunday all the way through until next Sunday. At least you can attempt to relax for the US's Mother's Day on May 8th?

I'm going to start putting up more competitions as soon as IS4 concludes. I will more than likely pick up my word search comp as well as another puzzle comp, so be looking for those. I would also like to see more Squadron-level comps, whether that's for internal decisions or maybe playing get togethers. Also, don't be afraid to participate in any of the below mentioned TC-wide comps happening. Gotta show off those skills!

WARRIOR COMPETITIONS

There is only one Warrior-specific competition going:

Protocol Pandemonium!
If you've read my log, you will have seen that I found what I think is the remains of the previous COM's Protocol Droid. There are just so many tasks that I desperately need a droid to assist. If you know of any Protocol Droids around the ship that would be a good candidate, make sure you check here to put their name into the running. Only 12 days left!

There are a handful of EH-wide competitions ongoing!

Imperial Storm 4
We all know that this is one of the BIG 3 that the TIE Corps runs every year. There's a handful of changes from the preivous Imperial Storm, so make sure you check out the full details here.

TIE Corps in Battle Season Four
The TCCOM will pick a battle from the compendium for TF, XvT, and XWA every month for the entire TIE Corps to participate in. Even if you fly with cheats on or score terribly, a completion is still worth something, so check it out here. ONLY 7 DAYS LEFT!

SP, MP, and Co-Op Ace of the TIE Corps 2022
Theses are ongoing month-to-month scoreboard competitions. All you have to do is play games and you're automatically entered! Link to the competitions center for all three competitions is here.

TIE Fighter Total Conversion - Reimagined
A competition sponsored by the TAC, FA Pickled Yoda, that requires pilots to fly the TFTC - Reimagined campaign. You can participate by turning in high scores from the missions, running through fastest times, writing reviews and impressions, and finally graphics from the game showing points of particular interest. Read the competition specifics here.

Legion's Challenging Time Trials Season 3
The gist is to kill LegionX 3 times super fast. That's not a hardship! Consider giving it a shot! Find everything here.

CLOSING COMMENTS

That wraps up my first official report for the Warrior. I cannot state enough how proud I am of everyone on board, and how I am looking forward to serving alongside everyone for the foreseeable future.
