Quite the apology for the tardy report. RtF kicked off with a bang! Eagle, and the Challenge, has hit the ground running hard. Comms rooms are alive with pilots and activity, the banter is sharp and well-intentioned, the LoCs and LoSs are pouring in at rates that make the poor COOAs shake their heads and ask 'why am I doing this?'

My first evening of RtF was with at least a dozen other pilots, across a bunch of VC rooms, with SWS and BFII being played out concurrently. It was a genuinely fun experience, and I hope you all have had a similar opportunity. Even the creatives have clawed their away onto the stage, and I appreciate how much collectively goes into these sorts of events.

From a squadron perspective, its been great seeing so many of you active and out. Four of us landed in a FB vs AI for a slew of matches the other day. If you want to play, do sing out, I'm certain there will be somebody around to join up. So roll up your sleeves, choose between your pen or your sword, and come on down!

• Challenge's Poetic Proficiency : Every round, a general prompt will be given about something on the Challenge, her pilots, her crew, her history, or sometimes more Star Wars in general along with a poem type. You then write your heart and soul, or liver and Chalquilla, into a poem of the given type which will then be reviewed by your fellow competitors and a winner elected by vote.

• Trivia Grand Tour: Season Seven: Entering Week Two
• Crossword Puzzle, be sure to email a screenshot of your answers to Solohan (solohan50@gmail.com).
• Starship Designers: This competition is about designing your very own starship. Can be as detailed as you wish to be. Design must include exterior design (blueprint style or actual artwork) and interior design of any rooms of your choice. The design can be of any kind of ship, fighter, cruiser, etc.

Be sure to check out all the running competitions. As Eagles, to know the competitions you are eligible for, under 'Units Involved' it must be listed as 'Entire TC', 'ISD-II Challenge', 'Wing I' or 'Eagle Squadron'.

As I write this, the score for Eagle in RtF sits at 627, which, in my humble opinion, is quite a respectable number. However, I think top 6 will be a good goal to shoot for, and expect Eagle's broad range of skills across different platforms to start to come to the fore as we go deeper into this month. Keep the memes flowing (well... ish), the notebook and pencil at close range, and share your ideas for fiction/gfx in the squad chat. If you haven't read XP's fiction, which links in with both Col Marenta's and LCM Sylas Pitt's narratives, do seek it out on runons and have a read.
