Taking long, slow breaths while cleaning the engine fluids from his blue hands, Commander Wietu ponders the lightning pace of recent events and the new duty before him. He tosses the moisture absorption composite into the recycler and sits at the desk. A desk. Any desk. Is this the first time he has been at such a desk?

He begins composing his first message on the terminal.

My comrades and compatriots. (He pauses. “Ok any start is a good start they say. I’ll do better later,” he thinks.)

We find ourselves in a moment of celebration. Due to recent rapid growth of the Tie Corps, with endless thanks to the tireless work of the recruiters in the middle and outer rim territories, the Admiralty is recommissioning a squadron we have not staffed in quite some time. (“That’s too wordy. I’ll have to work on that,” continues the new Commander’s inner monologue, “But I don’t know how to say it much better. Maybe it doesn’t matter. Ok. What’s next?”)

As stated by our former Commander, Ace, Sigma Squadron is back in business and under his command. The news for this week is that I, Adom Wietu - of Coruscant by birth, Pantora by heritage, and the Imperial Academy by the stars blessing - am now tasked with leading Rho forward and filling our ranks, so that we will preserve the mightiest of standards that are the Rho squadron pedigree. (“Well,” he thinks, “It’s the truth. The history of this squadron’s successes is massive.”)

Our path forward is together. The strength of victories to come is already within you - in your training, in your skill, in your dedication. We will grow together - with and for each other - and I aim to ever be simply a facilitator to help you all in your journeys. Until a new Emperor is seated and the Rebellion is forever crushed! (“Is it ok to conclude with a fragment?” he ponders, and declares the update done. Why dwell on such a small moment - it’s only a job, right?)

• One of Ace’s last deeds with Rho was getting this guy - fr0Zen - into a BFII match. That is one WILD game and I look forward to including that in our activity more in the future. The session this last Saturday was a great time.

• While the larger EH organization has surged recently in skill in the Fleet Battle mode of Star Wars Squadrons, Rho is looking particularly strong in the gametype with the recent additions to our roster in LT Kevinbackroom and LT Westric Davalorn. Rumors are the next Chalquilla cup may be Fleet Battle 3v3, so stay tuned!

With a nod to LT Westric Davalorn for all the work on his INPR, I was inspired to finally - and much belatedly - take on updates to my own INPR. Now, being a lowly Pantaloran of modest means, I am no scholar of the galaxy at large; so I spent quite a while checking my facts while I was standing at the Imperial Holo-Net terminal.

What I forgot, and what I want to be sure and point out to the team, is that the security protocols on the Holo-Net are understandably tight - so your active session may time-out. The point is then: to avoid losing your work while composing your INPR, I suggest noting the topics and questions you want to explore from the INPR form and then composing your data in a separate document. Once you are ready, proceed over to your personnel records and copy your data from your document. This way you’ll avoid busting a terminal and spraining your wrist.

I am very excited and looking forward to everything that this team will accomplish as a group. Always remember I am here for you - your questions, your needs your concerns, and most importantly your celebrations.
