Hi everyone! The big news this week is that the second battle of Imperial Storm concluded yesterday. And while we did suffer a bit more damage this time (and by that I mean we lost more than a coat of paint) we won quite convincingly. Big kudos to LC Rando and LCM Genie, who have been the heroes of Imperial Storm for the Warrior thus far with their scores. Great work guys!
MSEs have been processed, and we have received almost everything. Still waiting on MoCs with our illustrious SOO said he’ll be handing out tomorrow, and one promotion. :) I would like to extend a personal congratulations to GN Earnim Branet, who received his second career Gold Star of the Empire for his extended, dedicated service.

NEW COMPETITION ALERT – READ THIS SINNERS! (I sure hope to see some submissions :))
In an effort to mix things up a bit as I feel things have gotten stale, I am introducing THREE new competitions for Sin Squadron, both flying and not. They will begin June 1st.
Sin Top Gun - The pilot who flies the most missions in a calendar month will be Sin Squadron's Top Gun. Any missions from XWA, XvT, or TIE will count for one point each. If you receive a mission high score you will receive two extra points (so 3 total). If you receive a battle high score you will receive points equal to double the amount of missions (so if there are 4 missions in a battle, you will receive 8 points).

I will calculate LoS and LoC as well. LoS will be equal to half, rounded up. LoC will count for one full point. IS-SW for first place, IS-BW for second and third.
Know Your Enemies/Friends - This competition will test the knowledge and research skills of Sin's pilots. Every two weeks, there will be a new subject. The pilot who submits the most, and most accurate, information to the CMDR by the submission date will win.
For canon subjects (like Luke Skywalker for instance), the information must be CANON. For those subjects that are not canon, I will accept non-canon information as long as it is well sourced.
There is no set length for the subject, but I do ask that you submit in your own words. Do not copy from Wookieepedia!
The next two weeks’ subject is Luke Skywalker! Beginning June 1st it is due June 13th at 11:59 PM PST!

And finally, a competition Zekk might just win – TIE Golf! That’s right, you will fly for the WORST possible score! Reviving an old classic, Sin Squadron is going TIE Golfing.
Every two weeks in the report, Sin CMDR Zekk will announce a free mission that Sin pilots will complete for the lowest possible score. These missions will be hand-picked by Zekk to ensure that the pilot has to be at least a little bit engaged in the mission, where wingmen and other friendlies won't complete the mission on their own.
Pilot files are due by the second following Sunday night.
The lowest score will earn an IS-BW! In the case of a tie for the lowest score, multiple IS-BWs will be awarded.
SCORING

A key concern with TIE Golf is the scoring, which has to be a little different than standard laserless scoring. For this competition, we're using the following formula to determine a player's score for that round:
TIE Golf Score = Mission Score + Lasers Fired x 2 + Warheads Fired x 100 - Laser Hits x 3 - Warhead Hits x 100
Basically, laser and warhead hits are zeroed out and each laser and warhead shot goes from being a deduction to adding to the score, such that every shot you fire takes you further away from the perfect 0 score.

RULES

Only the primary goals in each mission must be completed.
In-game cheats are not allowed. All missions must be flown with collisions on, limited warheads, and vulnerable craft.
Intentionally destroying friendly craft is not allowed.
Your pilot file must not show a lost player craft.
Calling for reinforcements is allowed, but the missions being picked won't have reinforcements anyway.
Flying missions on Easy difficulty is allowed and encouraged.
The next two weeks’ mission is TIE Free 85! Remember, the lowest possible score!

Sin Squadron Trivia - https://tc.emperorshammer.org/competitions.php?id=3092 This will end every Sunday night. I have changed the rules slightly...beginning this week, you will be awarded an IS-SR for every FIFTH victory. Everyone’s victories are reset to zero.
Sin Squadron On Patrol - https://tc.emperorshammer.org/competitions.php?id=3091 The bi-weekly free mission where you can earn an IS-BW for the top score every two weeks!
The Adventures of Sin Squadron – Submit anything, and I mean quite literally anything (minimum half a page because John was mean about it), to your CMDR for inclusion in the squadron report and receive a brand new shiny IS-BR! Receive an IS-SR for every 5 submissions! Ask me how (just email it, dummy). Graphics are also acceptable, or really just any creativity!
