Good day pilots. So we did it! we completed the tasks for ReMob!!! Good work for those who collaborated. IS-GW were issued for them. We get to revamp most things for our unit. I took the opportunity to also change our flights' and our whole unit's motto and nicks. Our objective will now be SpecOps and our fighters will be the TIE Reaper, the TIE Silencer and the First Order's TIE Defender. I'm writing a storyline for their introduction and will get missions done about it as well. You've got your shinies for the last operation. Well
deserved I must say. I am thankful for your collaboration and for your
work as a team. I got a promotion and a medal but I think best reward
is the satisfaction of a job well done and to see a unit doing its
mission. This long week has been a somehow quiet period for the
unit, where only a few of you have been truly active - it is fine. I
myself have been focused on parallel projects, namely installing the
latest XWAUP mods on a separate XWA install folder and testing them.
Some needed manual tweaking and I found out there's something called
'FoV' or angle of view...(should it be focus? *shrugs*). Anyways, PoV
and FoV had to be adjusted via something called XWA hacker. Sadly it
altered the exe file's version and I had to google for ways to edit
this string on an exe file. Took me a bit but I found it (recent xwa
mods comes in exe format and double checks your current version, so I
had to force XWA to be 2.02 again). You may wonder: dude why bothering?
Aaand that's easy: I love the flight sims. TIE had the storyline, the
event-driven original music...XvT the thrill, the challenge and XWA the
variety of ships, the new features and now the graphics. How about the
best of the 3 sims in one game? cool right? how about it being the
showcase for a serious storyline revolving about the Empire? better,
right? well. I'm working on a spiritual sequel of TIE Fighter of
sorts. Big personal project I've had for a while and all the recent
research from the XWAUP guys on hooks that improves and expands the
original game features just allowed to bring the game into 2020.
I know there are people working on a port of TIE Fighter and XvT into
XWA but I'll do it on my own and in due time. Afterwards, I've things
to say via XWA campaigns and writing. I enjoy MP and can be in the game
but I also like 3d modeling and storywriting. Some says that's for
cadets...then I'm an eternal cadet hehe. As I more or less mentioned before, changes of
command are taking place. Our COM is now the COO and Clark, our COO is
now the SOO. We have new COMs for the ships: HA Elwood the Brave and FA
Silvius. Congratuations to all of them and welcome aboard Woody to the
Hammer! Miles , Clark and Woody are all experienced, dedicated officers
who loves the games so as I stated previously, this is an interesting
time to be on the EH. We've already been communicating to
coordinate efforts towards our next campaign. Yes, other positions are
open , such as the Warden of the Imperial Archives. More details on TC
News, check the links if you're interested to assist running the club. Now our next campaign is Imperial Storm II. I've more or
less outlined a plan in conversations with our COM and I'll be issuing
you orders based on your pilot profile. We'll be pitted against some of
the best pilots the TC has to offer...but we are not exactly newbies.
We might be relatively new on the TC scene but we came from a long
history back from MSN Gaming Zone, some of us won a few WoWs and we
just did complete 7 tasks in 10 days so...everybody bleeds gentlemen. I
know I asked you to invest time in the past and I'm about to ask it
again but I wouldn't ask that what I wouldn't be capable of doing
myself and then again, I'll be right at your side on the battlefront.
You never walk alone. Finally, something tells me Classic Battlefront II and
Elite Dangerous are seriously considered to be added as platforms. I
need to get my hands once more on ED. |
