DELTA REFORGED SQUADRON REPORT #2

DELTA CMDR: MAJ Flelm
REPORT DATE: 2026-OCT-01 (35 ABY)
LAST REPORT: 2026-AUG-28

The doors to Delta Squadron’s ready room slid open, and Flelm stepped inside to find the rest of the squadron already assembled. He looked considerably worse for wear. He had done away with the dress uniform for a rumpled, sweat-stained flight suit, and his hair was greasy and plastered down atop his head. There was a distant, unfocused look in his eyes: too many hours staring at screens and targeting reticles.

Flelm had spent most of the past month disappearing into the simulators for one virtual sortie after another, grinding through battle after battle in the name of Delta Squadron and Battlegroup I. He made his way toward the briefing table, slumped into a chair behind his desk instead of standing at the lectern, and looked around at the waiting pilots.

“Well. That’s over.”

SQUADRON AND FLEET NEWS

  • Raise the Flag 2026 is over. Thank you to everyone who participated, and well done to the eventual winners. We ended up in 12th overall, but made it to 2nd on the Hammer!
  • For a nice, simple competition after the craziness of RtF, I've created a squadron competition to determine if we should switch our objective or not. Details are at the competition link, but reach out to me if you have any questions. This ends October 21st so I will hopefully have results for the next squadron report!
  • Speaking of ending competitions, Sausagefe- wait, no, that's not right... ah, yes, Sausage Challenge 2026: Oktoberfest Edition ends very shortly. I didn't realize it ends on Sunday so I need to get my own sausage cooked.
  • If you're not tired of flying, TIE Golf starts on the 10th. It can be a really fun puzzle to get the lowest score in some of these missions.
  • For additional competitions, if you've ever had interest in mission creation, the TAC Office is running a 3-month long competition for mission creation. Stretch your creative and technical muscles!
  • Speaking of the TAC, they are asking for feedback on how they are doing. Please fill out their survey.
  • We had quite a few medals awarded this month. For some catch-up combat and FCHG rating updates, CM LandoRasputin received a Bronze Star, CPT Syntroth received a Bronze Star, LT Thorne Rylak received an ISM, and I received 2 ISMs, 2 PCs, and a Bronze Star. CPT Aval received a long overdue PC, and I was proud to have been able to award MAJ DemWookieeCheeks 2 IARs for activity in September.

COMMANDER'S CORNER

Raise the Flag 2026 is done. While we weren't able to compete with the very top squads, I'm happy with the activity we did put out. And competition placement is not how I measure success in a fun Star Wars gaming club anyway. If you're enjoying yourselves, that's good enough for me. In any case we can take a short breather as we head into the holidays, and try to get closer as a combined unit. I'll be seeing you out there!
