COMMANDER’S QUARTERS

Jagged was tired, and just hoped whoever was ringing the door chime for his quarters would just go away. This seemingly yearly push for an extreme operations tempo in the TIE Corps always took it out of him by the end. They had discovered a weakness in the First Order fleet SOP and had exploited it but he wasn't certain it would be enough to save the fuel depot, and their forward staging area in the Chaos, or not. Only time would tell. Now, to shoot whoever was still leaning on his buzzer...

SQUADRON NEWS

Alright! Another Raise the Flag has come and gone and we all survived it...I think. We will not know the final scores for the competition for at least several more days but I feel confident in stating that we will emerge having secured 6th place for the active squadrons and 1st among the squadrons of Battlegroup III, great work to everyone who participated. We ended the month with 90% participation rate and 80% of us should walk away with merit medals this month.

We had one Order of the Vanguard award this month. On September 20th, General Triji Boliv reached an impressive 26 years with the Emperor's Hammer!

No promotions this month, but we should see several this next month so keep a weathered eye out for future announcements.

FLEET NEWS

My prediction that BG3 would be victorious this month was obviously not correct. Congratulations to Battlegroup II on their victory and to Rho for their repeated top of the podium finish.

Now for the post RtF quiescence. But there are several comps starting up this month, some of them run by me;)

And now for the current competitions available to you all as members of Typhoon Squadron. Remember this is just as of today and you should always check the Competition Center for any new competitions too.

Single Player

  • SP Ace of the TIE Corps 2026 - Season Three
    • End Date – 2026/12/31
    • Synopsis – Simple, fly Single Player missions from the Database and submit a BSF with the pilot file to the website. Different games have a different point value to them but fly the platforms you like. Missions can only be flown once per year for credit.
  • TIE Golf Invitational 2026
    • End Date – 2026/12/11
    • Synopsis – Technically not active until 10/10 but this is my report, so I will put what I want in it;) Once again, I am running a TIE Golf Competition this year. I will be assigning a free mission each week and the goal will be to score the MINIMUM score possible, without using cheats, and while still being a positive number. I will be doing 3 weeks of TIE, followed by 3 weeks of XvT and then 3 weeks of XWA.

Multi-Player

  • PvE Ace of the TIE Corps 2026 - Season Three
    • End Date – 2026/12/31
    • Synopsis – Simple, play any approved primary TIE Corps PvE game and submit the winning screenshots to the website. Different games have a different point value to them but fly the platforms you like.
  • PvP Ace of the TIE Corps 2026 - Season Three
    • End Date – 2026/12/31
    • Synopsis – Simple, play any approved primary TIE Corps PvP game and submit the winning screenshots to the website. Different games have a different point value to them but fly the platforms you like.
  • Spear's Monthly Game Night
    • End Date – 2027/03/31
    • Synopsis – Spear is hosting a monthly night to help ensure any who want to play Multiplayer games (because I know how POPULAR those are with you all) can join in.

Art

  • 2026 Free Mission Creation Competition
    • End Date – 2026/12/31
    • Synopsis – You have until the end of the year to create your best Free mission for one of our supported single player platforms and send it to me (in my TAC persona). You DO NOT need to have passed any of the normal IU courses to be able to submit for this competition.

Fiction/Trivia

  • Trivia for the Challenged - Season 13 Part II
    • End Date – 2026/12/27
    • Synopsis – You all know the drill, Locke will post a link to a quiz each week and we all compete to see who can get the most questions correct in the fastest time.

Other

  • Rho's Monthly Watch Party 2026
    • End Date – 2026/12/31
    • Synopsis – For each of the 12 months in 2026, a pilot in Rho who was chosen at random, picks a movie or tv show that is rated PG-13 or less and appears on a streaming service. Maston Dane will make a voting document with times listed for that month and everyone marks each day and time that also works for them. After a few days of voting the day with the most people available is chosen and come the day we all meet up on discord coms and each of us on our own screens start at the same time. IAR for every 2 months of joining in on the watch party for at least a minimum amount of time.
  • Sausage Challenge 2026: Oktoberfest Edition
    • End Date – 2026/10/04
    • Synopsis – Post a picture of a sausage like food product with your member name and date on a sign IN THE PICTURE.
  • RtF Recovery
    • End Date – 2026/10/07
    • Synopsis – Send a picture containing your name and member number to me of you touching grass after this long and grueling competition.

HOW TO ADVANCE

I won't repeat all of what I said in the first report here (go see the First Report for the detailed MSE breakdown) but will remind you all that for a month to count towards a promotion a Merit Medal (medal awarded from MSE points) must be earned. Also, want to highlight that to advance beyond Lieutenant you must pass the TIE Corps Core exam.

STANDING ORDERS

Hey...Do Stuff...
As always, the requirements of Active Duty in the TIE Corps are communicating at least once per month, whether that is talking in a Discord channel or sending me a Direct Message on Discord or an email. And then it is important to post some MSE activity at least once every other month, but preferably every month.
