TIE Corps News and Competitions

Competition Announcement: Raise the Flag 2025

Once again, the TIE Corps is called to Raise the Flag! The annual competition that challenges pilots to amass as much activity as possible (and create some art, fiction, and memes along the way...) has begun!

As a friendly reminder, Raise the Flag is our annual TIE Corps competition that determines the fleet flagship, TCCOM Escort Squadron, and TCCOM's Wingman, based on which battlegroup, squadron, and individual pilot score the most points in the month of September. Points are awarded for completing SP missions, PvE matches, PvP matches, and Imperial University courses. There's also two rounds of fiction and graphics competitions, where pilots are encouraged to submit a fiction and/or graphic based on the given prompts. Finally, pilots are also encouraged to submit memes about RtF, with a maximum of 20 acceptable submissions.

Rules this year are similar to previous years, with the caveat that there are no bonus points for scoring well on SP missions (and no points for earning high scores either). So for SP missions, it's all about completing as many missions as you can!

Let's break down how points will work this year!

For SP missions, points are awarded as follows...

• 2 points for each TIE mission
• 3 points for each XvT/BoP mission
• 3 points for each XWA mission
• 5 points for each X-Wing mission
• 5 points for each TFTC mission
• 5 points for each X-Wing VM (XWVM) mission
• 5 points for each Embers of the Empire mission

For winning PvE matches, points are awarded as follows...

• 1 point - Star Conflict
• 2 points - X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter / Balance of Power
• 2 points - X-Wing Alliance
• 2 points - TFTC
• 2 points - Empire at War
• 5 points - EA Battlefront 1
• 5 points - EA Battlefront 2
• 5 points - Star Wars: Squadrons
• 3 points - Elite Dangerous
• 5 points - Star Wars: The Old Republic
• 6 points - Destiny 2 (Lost Sectors not allowed)

For winning PvP matches, points are awarded as follows...

• 5 points - X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter / Balance of Power
• 5 points - X-Wing Alliance
• 5 points - TFTC
• 5 points - Empire at War
• 6.5 points - Elite Dangerous
• 8 points - Destiny 2
• 8 points - Star Conflict
• 8 points - Star Wars: The Old Republic
• 10 points - EA Battlefront 2 (Ewok Hunt not allowed)
• 10 points - Star Wars: Squadrons
• 12 points - Classic Battlefronts (1 & 2)
• 12 points - EA Battlefront 1

For Imperial University courses, all courses completed are awarded 21 points each. Talk about rewarding education!

For memes, submissions must be sent to tccom@emperorshammer.org. They can be awarded anywhere between 0 - 10 points, based on the grading criteria. The goal is for each meme to be memorable, creative, and to be EH-specific. For more information, I recommend viewing the grading criteria on the meme-specific competition listing. Remember - you only get 20 meme submissions for this competition!

Points will be awarded for fiction and graphics based on ranking. That being said, participation in each provides 200 points, so it's worth attempting something even if this isn't a particular skill of yours! Word count for fiction must be between 1000 and 4000 words and cannot be AI derived. Ranking is based on how the submission fits the one of the prompt, a description of how it was created (particularly for art submissions), and evidence of the creation process (screenshots of the art being created). All submissions must be sent to the Warfare Officer (phoenixberkana@gmail.com). The first round for fiction and art is now live and goes from now until September 14th, 23:59 UTC. Battlegroup News and Competitions

Change in Firebird Command Staff

As announced previously, we have had a change in the Firebird Squadron command staff! After two years of service as commander of Firebird, GN Master has decided to step aside and return to life as a Flight Member. I am incredibly grateful for GN Master's service as Firebird commander, and am proud to announce that he has been awarded the Gold Star for his efforts with Firebird Squadron!

Replacing him is the previous Firebird executive officer, LC SirCaleb, who will be returning to the role of Firebird squadron commander. Meanwhile, LC Daisuke Airyu will step into the Firebird Squadron Executive Officer role. Congrats to both!

While it is always sad to see a long-time commander step down, I am very excited to see what Firebird will achieve under its new command staff! Congrats again to LC SirCaleb!

Typhoon Commander Jagged Fell III promoted to General

In honor of his outstanding service as commander of Typhoon Squadron, I am pleased to announce that Jagged Fell III has been promoted to the rank of General!

GN Jagged Fell III has been an outstanding officer and lifelong Typhoon member since his arrival to the fleet. He is also probably the only commander I have ever had who has never failed to send out a report and turn in an MSE on day #1 of every month of their entire run as squadron commander - a remarkable feat!

Typhoon has regularly been one of the top squadrons under his command, and I am pleased to see him accomplish this significant career goal. Congrats to GN Jagged Fell III!

Competition Results - Trivia for the Challenged Season 13

The latest Trivia for the Challenge competition has come to a close! Let's congratulate this season's trivia masters!

• Tempest Squadron's LCM Corven Varek with 58 points for the season, earning an IS-GR!
• Typhoon Squadron's MAJ Anthony Starr with 56 points for the season, earning an IS-SR!
• Scorpion Squadron's CM Evil_edgar with 55 points for the season, earning an IS-BR!

A new season of Trivia for the Challenged will return in October after Raise the Flag, and may play a greater role in a battlegroup competition arriving in November...

• For Battlegroup III Squadron of the Month for August 2026, congrats to Tempest Squadron! Tempest Squadron had the top PvP pilot for the BG this month, top PvE pilot for the BG this month, and this season's trivia master! Congrats!
• For Battlegroup III Pilot of the Month for August 2026, congrats to Tempest Squadron's LC Grendel! I try very hard to avoid giving this award twice in a row, but sometimes it can't be denied, and LC Grendel had an August for the ages! Congrats!
