Kamjin and all the other members strong in the Force slammed their hands over their ears. The words echoed throughout the galaxy - ‘At last the work of generations is complete. The great error is corrected. The day of victory is at hand. The day of revenge. The day of the Sith.’

Kamjin knew that voice. He’d known it since he was a child. Emperor Palpatine. Somehow the Emperor had done it. The years of secret work in cloning and Dark Side magick must have brought about his resurrection. This must have been what Voran Nexis had been hinting at all these months since making contact. Never in his wildest dreams would have imagined it to have been this.

“Get the signal back. I need to see what’s happening at X4625-C.” Rapier had recovered moments before Kamjin.

“Techs are trying, Sir. That broadcast burned out several of the com-sats. We’ve got a delay in the feed.” Phoenix pulled off the board to the holoprojector and began rewiring the feed. Kamjin walked back to Rapier.

“We need to consider the contingency plan.” Kamjin’s voice was low and calm. Rapier shook his head. “Not yet.” Kamjin blinked. “Rapier, this is Palpatine. He will have planned for every scenario; including us being here. We don’t have a lot of time to act.”

Rapier stared at Kamjin. “We’ll know in a moment.” The tactical feed had been reestablished.

“They’ve been boarded!”

“Calm yourself.” Takeda made a note to deal with the panicked ensign after the battle. She could see for herself that the station had been boarded. Sergeant Zalrak Venlor was providing a live feed to Colonel Frieda von Stahl who had moved to a station off to the side to coordinate their response.

“I need an update on our fleet.”

“We’ve lost several squadrons and two of the Maximas. We’ve taken some damage but are still 78% operational.”

“Have flights four and eight disengage and fall back.” Takeda turned towards von Stahl. “If Venlor can’t contain or eliminate them I’ll have them blow the docking bays.”

Von Stahl nodded while still issuing orders to her troops. Takeda tugged at her collar. Things were going…the buzz of the bridge cut out. ‘At last the work of generations is complete. The great error is corrected. The day of victory is at hand. The day of revenge. The day of the Sith.’

Takeda sighed with relief. It was time at last to end this charade the First Order had been forced to play for so long.

“Sir, we’ve got incoming ships!” If not for the joy Takeda was feeling she’d have shot the ensign for two panicked outbursts within as many minutes. Takeda turned to take in the sight from the viewpanels. A massive First Order fleet had appeared.

“Get me the commander of that fleet. We need to coordinate our counter assault.”

Pilots of the TIE Corps,

Moments ago a large First Order Fleet dropped out of hyperspace on fringes of system X4625-C where the TIE Corps had just emerged victorious from this weeks skirmish. A recording from one of our TIE Defenders running a routine patrol indicates we're facing twenty-five Resurgent Class Star Destroyers accompanied by over 225 Maxima-A Class Heavy Cruisers and Light Cruisers.

Paired with the news of the Emperors apparent survival at the head of the First Order enemy we are now facing down, Command has elected to withdraw from the area whilst we decide a further course of action. In light of this new information orders are clear, to fight a path away from the Chaos and back towards the more habitable part of the galaxy and ultimately home - the Minos Cluster.
