Competition Alert - Imperial Storm VIII Begins NOWThe Emperor Hammer's First Recon Division's journey in Chaos space was intended to find the source of the strange Force emanations stretching out and calling to Grand Admiral Rapier. As the fleet grew closer, it came into conflict with a Imperial-like military unit known as the First Order. While the first campaign against this unit was successful, the recent trap sprung at Jundaxa has put the Emperor's Hammer recon forces back on the defensive. Now, Grand Admiral Rapier calls for a new offensive, intended to push the Emperor Hammer's First Recon Division towards these Force emanations, no matter the cost...
 As a refresher, Imperial Storm is one of our three major competitions in the year. Specifically, Imperial Storm is a turn-based wargame where the outcomes of battles are decided not just by the meeting of forces, but by the performance of the pilots of the TIE Corps. When our battlegroup is engaged in combat in this competition, all pilots will have 48 hours to complete as many PvE and PvP matches as they can, as well as specific single-player frees. Points for PvE and PvP matches are based on platform type. Points for completion of selected SP missions are based on percentage of high score. Any pilot who participates in one battle will earn a campaign medal specific for this year's Imperial Storm. Any pilot who participates in three battles will earn an ORA. Additional ORAs will be up for grabs based on how we as a collective unit perform against the forces of the First Order! Our first battle has already started! We have arrived in the Eisvahn System, and have orders to gather intel from the First Order station in orbit above the forested world of Eisvahn IV! This current battle will last through April 5th, 11:59PM EH time (7:59PM EST). To launch Imperial Storm VIII in style, the TIE Fighter Total Conversion custom mission for this first encounter will be a new custom free! Throughout Imperial Storm, I will be notifying you about new battles as they occur, so expect an uptick in emails and Discord alerts from me this month. You can follow along with all the action for Imperial Storm on the site and on the Discord server. Competition Reminder: TIE Corps in Battle Season 9 - Round #3TIE Corps in Battle is ongoing, and we are halfway through the third round! As a quick reminder, TIE Corps in Battle is a competition where each month, a battle is selected for TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, X-Wing Alliance, and TIE Fighter Total Conversion. Pilots are then challenged to complete these battles with the best possible score. For each platform, the pilot with the highest score will be awarded 9 points, with the second highest pilot being awarded 8 points, and so on. Each submission will be worth at least 2 points. Any mission high scores will earn 1 bonus point, and any battle high scores will earn 2 bonus points. Points will accumulate for the season, with each pilots points contributing to their own total, their squadron's total, and their battlegroup's total! Participants from the top battlegroup and the top three squadrons will receive awards. The top pilot at the end of the season will be awarded the title of TIE Corps Battlemaster - Season Nine. Competition Announcement: Brush Up On the Original Games: Brush Up On the Original Games: XvT: Balance of Power and X-Wing AllianceThe TAC office is proud to announce that it has added the original campaigns for X-Wing Alliance and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power to the Mission Compendium! This means, for the first time ever, pilots can get credit for flying and completing the base game campaign missions from X-Wing Alliance and from X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power! To celebrate this addition, the TAC office is running a competition during the months of April and May to encourage pilots to go back and play these two original games. Pilots will be awarded 1 point for every original campaign mission they complete, with additional points awarded for mission and battle high scores. The top four pilots with the most points at the end of the competition will be awarded the appropriate Iron Star. An ORA will be awarded to each pilot for every four tours of duty/battles they complete. An IAR will be awarded to the first five pilots to complete each game. Platform Announcement: TIE Fighter Total Conversion Latest Release (1.4.0) Now SupportedThe TAC office has announced that the latest version of TIE Fighter Total Conversion, version 1.4.0, is now the officially supported version of the platform for the Emperor's Hammer! All existing TFTC custom missions have been updated to account for changes made to the platform in this latest release. All pilots who have not yet upgraded to version TFTC 1.4.0 are recommended to do so now before attempting to play any TFTC missions (including the new mission for Imperial Storm!) If you still haven't given TIE Fighter Total Conversion a try, there's no better time than now! All you need is a copy of X-Wing Alliance.
