I'll also have the usual helpful information about re-enlistment, medal restoration, and other topics that may be useful if you ever decide to unretire and join back up for a spell. Imperial Storm VIII is running this April! |

Imperial Storm VIII has kicked off! Running this April, this competition will once again call for all three battlegroups to work together to fight against a common foe. Our ongoing storyline finds the Emperor's Hammer traveling within Chaos, continuing the conflict with the First Order that began in last year's event! Practically speaking, this will be an encounter-based game where each battlegroup makes decisions on which actions to take, and deal with the consequences of each of those decisions. Battle performance will ultimately be determined by the pilots, with performance being calculated by winning PvP matches, PvE matches, and SP submissions for a specific free mission. For this year's Imperial Storm, we'll be kicking things off with custom mission that depicts the actual story events occuring for this competition: TFTC-FREE #10: Imperial Storm VIII: Information Raid! New version of TIE Fighter Total Conversion released |

The latest version of TIE Fighter Total Conversion has been released! Version 1.4 adds support for XWA 2025, increased visual features, greater stability, and a number of extra bells and whistles that make for a even better experience than before! To support this release, the Tactical Office has already prepared all TIE Fighter Total Conversion custom missions for this latest update. As such, in addition to the first eight battles of the TIE Fighter campaign, there's over one hundred custom Emperor's Hammer missions to play! If you haven't had a chance to try it out yet, now's the time! TIE Fighter Total Conversion is a modern conversion of TIE Fighter into the X-Wing Alliance engine, with enough modifications at this point to make the experience feel like a modern game. Kyber for Battlefront II on PC |

Kyber is a community-made, free, open-source server platform and launcher for Star Wars Battlefront II on PC. Specifically, Kyber allows users to have dedicated servers, private games, and even offers mod support! While not a new community project, Kyber recently moved to open source, making this platform more accessible than ever before! If this is the first time you've heard of it, or were interested in trying it before but were unable to do so, now is the time to give it a try! The Combat Operations Office has recently announced support for Kyber for Battlefront II, which means that screenshots submitted from valid PvE or PvP matches using Kyber for Battlefront II are now accepted! With Kyber now officially supported, this should ensure that TIE Corps pilots may continue to enjoy EA Battlefront II for years to come, long after EA shuts down their own servers. The Tactical Office is pleased to announce that the original campaigns for X-Wing, TIE Fighter, X-Wing Alliance, and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power have been added to the mission compendium! This means that, for the first time ever, pilots can submit pilot files for the original game campaigns and recieve credit, as well as complete over high scores for the original missions and battles! Pilot files are available for each battle in order to "skip ahead" to those particular missions where needed. Question: Hey! I want to rejoin but I don't know how! What do I do? Answer: Good question! It's pretty easy - you just have to contact the TCCOM, HA Plif! You can send him an email (tccom@emperorshammer.org) or you can message him on Discord (plif346) - whatever's easier for you! And if you're having any problems, you can always email me too - I'll help get things worked out for you. |

Question: My profile on the TIE Corps website isn't right. I used to have medals! I used to have history! Now it's all gone and I'm sad. Answer: Don't be sad! A lot of us old-timers have gone through this. Fortunately, there is a way to restore things! We don't have it at a place where we can do it automatically for everyone, but if you reach out to the TCCOM (via email at tccom@emperorshammer.org or Discord at plif346) and request a restoration, he can get that process started for you. We do ask for patience - it can take a bit of time. But have heart - your accomplishments are not lost to time! Please reach out to me too if you have any additional questions on this process. |

Question: Are you going to make me rejoin to restore my records and stuff? Answer: We want to be able to do this for everyone who asks for it. Admittedly, we are going to prioritize active members who need it over reservists. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't ask! We'd love to have you back, but making sure your past accomplishments are recorded and available is part of our duty to you, regardless of current activity status. You've earned it. |

Question: Can I join the Discord server even if I'm in the Reserves? Answer: Of course! You won't have access to all the channels, but you will be able to see and participate in most of the general chat channels, including the common hang-out spot, #plifs-asteroid-bar-and-grill. Question: I don't really want to be active, but I do like doing the trivia and/or puzzle competitions, taking an Imperial University course, flying a mission, or doing some multiplayer once in a blue moon. Do I have to be in a squadron to do that stuff? Answer: No! You're welcome to log in and submit your own BSFs for missions flown, take Imperial University/IWATS courses, do the trivia/puzzle competitions, report multiplayer matches... whatever you'd like to do. But... being in a squadron means that you can get awarded for that activity with merit medals. And there's a lot of squadron commanders out there who would be happy to have a pilot who just wants to contribute the odd bit of activity here and there. So don't feel like you have to be super active to be considered active - it's really okay to be an active member even when you can only do a little, just as long as you're having fun and keeping in touch. |
