COMMANDER’S QUARTERS

The time had come. The newest training packages had finally been delivered to the Fleet, and now it was time for the TIE Corps to engage the enemy once again.

SQUADRON NEWS

Well, we have a full house. This month we were joined by CM GamerRat and GN Mark Schueler, a hardy welcome to both of you, once again. They both hit the ground running this month and should be seeing some more medals in their in-box soon.

Additionally, CM GamerRat also reached 2 years with the Emperor's Hammer this month.

We did better in Round 2 of TCiB and i was very happy to see a greater than 50% participation rate. Good work to you all. We are still falling further behind 2nd place, but our hold on 3rd is rather solid at the moment. Please do remember fly the assigned battles these next two weeks, even in the midst of the Imperial Storm competition that just kicked off.

COMPETITIONS

And now for the current competitions available to you all as members of Typhoon Squadron. Remember this is just as of today and you should always check the Competition Center for any new competitions too.

Single Player

  • SP Ace of the TIE Corps 2026 - Season One
    • End Date – 2026/04/30
    • Synopsis – Simple, fly Single Player missions from the Database and submit a BSF with the pilot file to the website. Different games have a different point value to them but fly the platforms you like. Missions can only be flown once per year for credit.
  • TIE Corps in Battle Season Nine
    • End Date – 2026/05/15
    • Synopsis – One battle each from TIE, XvT, XWA and TFTC will be assigned monthly. Pilots will fly the battles and submit their pilot files through the database normally. You will get points based on how high your scores are compared to the others submitting to the competition too. And bonus points if you manage to set any High Scores for the missions or battles, even if they are later surpassed. But even if you can't shoot for high scores I encourage everyone who owns the Single Player games to fly them, even with full cheats enabled, as you will at least get 2 points per battle you fly and that will go towards the squadron leader board and we may place as squadron high enough to earn a medal.
  • Brush Up On the Original Games: XvT: Balance of Power and X-Wing Alliance
    • End Date – 2026/05/31
    • Synopsis – We have added the original, Totally Games/LucasArts made, campaigns for XvT: Balance of Power and X-Wing Alliance. Get out there and fly the foundational games for our organization. Awards to those who fly the most. Please remember to uninstall all patches and if you are using X-Wing Alliance Upgrade, remember to message me and the TAC if your BSF shows any High Scores so we can mark the submission as ineligible for HS consideration. Also, please remember to NOT use an old pilot file, only submit files that you have flown during the competition.
  • Imperial Storm VIII
    • End Date – 2026/04/30
    • Synopsis – Imperial Storm is a turn based war game that the Emperor's Hammer runs annually. During the event, the Battlegroups will conduct combat operations to identify and destroy enemy forces. Whilst the Battlegroups navigate their fleets around the map, combat which occurs when enemy forces are encountered is decided by the accumulation of winning multiplayer matches and performance in a selected Single Player mission over a 48 hour period. Meanwhile, agents of the Secret Order work to acquire assets and form contacts, working to increase the fleet’s overall combat efficiency. See competition page and announcements for the details you will need as the competition unfolds.

  • Imperial Storm VIII
    • End Date – 2026/04/30
    • Synopsis – Imperial Storm is a turn based war game that the Emperor's Hammer runs annually.   • Rho's Monthly Watch Party 2026
    • End Date – 2026/12/31
    • Synopsis – For each of the 12 months in 2026, a pilot in Rho who was chosen at random, picks a movie or tv show that is rated PG-13 or less and appears on a streaming service. Maston Dane will make a voting document with times listed for that month and everyone marks each day and time that also works for them. After a few days of voting the day with the most people available is chosen and come the day we all meet up on discord coms and each of us on our own screens start at the same time. IAR for every 2 months of joining in on the watch party for at least a minimum amount of time.

HOW TO ADVANCE

I won't repeat all of what I said in the first report here (go see the First Report for the detailed MSE breakdown) but will remind you all that for a month to count towards a promotion a Merit Medal (medal awarded from MSE points) must be earned. Also, want to highlight that to advance beyond Lieutenant you must pass the TIE Corps Core exam.

STANDING ORDERS

Hey...Do Stuff...
As always, the requirements of Active Duty in the TIE Corps are communicating at least once per month, whether that is talking in a Discord channel or sending me a Direct Message on Discord or an email. And then it is important to post some MSE activity at least once every other month, but preferably every month.
