(Shouts and cheers came sounding out of the simulation pod room aboard the ISDII Warrior as Colonel Alexandre Morgan walked down the corridors towards it. It was only a few minutes until the end of the month, and it sounded like his pilots were eager to finish strong. As he turned the corner into the sim room, he saw a crowd of Rho pilots surrounding two pods, the only ones active in the entire room. Their diagnostic screen readouts were keyed to displaying each pod's point of view, and from Morgan's first glance, the occupants of the two pods were locked in a duel. Morgan approached the crowd. "What do we have here?" he asked as he walked up. A few of his pilots turned back. "It's Regihill and Thorne," one of them replied. "They've been neck-and-neck all month, and this is how they are settling it." Morgan chuckled, and edged his way closer to the screens to watch. But before he got there, cheers and groans came from the front of the crowd. One of the screens suddenly showed a fiery explosion, and the other a triumphant TIE flying through it. The pods powered down and their hatches opened. Out climbed Regihill triumphant and Thorne grinning in his defeat. "It's been a great month for both of you," Morgan shouted above the crowd's applause and jeers, "with promotions and record-setting performances." Pausing for dramatic effect, he gained his pilots' attention and the crowd quieted. Shaking his head with a growing smirk, he continued. "But my real question is this - why were the rest of you watching them, and not flying yourself?" Laughter rose from the group, and Morgan, satisfied that the group would behave, turned and walked out to begin writing his monthly report.)
Rho Family, Congratulations are due to our newest promotions! Congratulations to Jai Thorne on making Major, and Craness Regihill on joining the Lieutenant Commander club! It was a great month for Flight III with promotions and unique efforts. These two pilots, as well as the rest of the squadron, flew a particularly great February. High Legion totals and some great TIE Corps in Battle performances keep Rho Squadron on the top of the leaderboards. Check out all the details in the sections below. Well done to all on maintaining the Rho standard of excellence. Keep up the great work - but don't be afraid to take a relaxing break here and there with a fun competition (check out the Competitions section below).
