COMMANDER’S QUARTERS
With his new responsibilities in the Tactical Office, Jagged was feeling a bit wrung out, with all the work to get fresh, and updated, training packages ready for the Fleet, but he was happy that he could also contine to serve as the Commander of one of the best squadrons in the TIE Corps.
SQUADRON NEWS
I want to highlight, again, that TIE Corps in Battle has started back up and I would love for us to do well at it again this year. If you can fly the missions without cheats, then please do so, but if not please just fly them any way you need to, but fly them. Last year we placed 3rd mostly based on our general participation and I think we could do even better this year on that front.
On a personal note, I have been appointed the Command Attache to the Tactical Officer, but will also continue to be the Typhoon Squadron’s Commander, so you ain't getting rid of me. We are doing lots of things in the Tactical Office over the next ~6 months, so stay tuned. We also had a new battle and two new Free missions released this month.

COMPETITIONS
And now for the current competitions available to you all as members of Typhoon Squadron. Remember this is just as of today and you should always check the Competition Center for any new competitions too.
Single Player
- SP Ace of the TIE Corps 2026 - Season One
- End Date – 2026/04/30
- Synopsis – Simple, fly Single Player missions from the Database and submit a BSF with the pilot file to the website. Different games have a different point value to them but fly the platforms you like. Missions can only be flown once per year for credit.
- TIE Corps in Battle Season Nine
- End Date – 2026/05/15
- Synopsis – One battle each from TIE, XvT, XWA and TFTC will be assigned monthly. Pilots will fly the battles and submit their pilot files through the database normally. You will get points based on how high your scores are compared to the others submitting to the competition too. And bonus points if you manage to set any High Scores for the missions or battles, even if they are later surpassed. But even if you can't shoot for high scores I encourage everyone who owns the Single Player games to fly them, even with full cheats enabled, as you will at least get 2 points per battle you fly and that will go towards the squadron leader board and we may place as squadron high enough to earn a medal.
- Brush Up On the Original Games: X-Wing and TIE Fighter
- End Date – 2026/03/31
- Synopsis – We have added the original, Totally Games/LucasArts made, campaigns for X-Wing and TIE Fighter to the database. Get out there and fly the foundational games for our organization. Awards to those who fly the most. Please remember to restore your TIE Fighter mission files from a backup copy as our EH missions overwrite the first 1-3 battles. Also, please remember to NOT use an old pilot file, only submit files that you have flown during the competition.

- Synopsis – Earn the most total points/score from SP missions over the course of the month!

- Synopsis – Earn the most total kills across all PvP matches over the course of the month! Or, earn the most total kills across all PvE matches over the course of the month! Or, earn the most total XP across all Helldivers 2 matches over the course of the month!

- Trivia for the Challenged 2026 - Season 1

- Synopsis – You all know the drill. Locke sends out trivia questions every week and you all answer them as quickly as you can.
- 2026 Battlegroup III Winter Games
- End Date – 2026/02/28
- Synopsis – Create a work of art (whether that be fiction, graphic, custom mission, song, etc.) that celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the ISD Challenge's commissioning! Or, participate in the run-on in #bg3-runons celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the ISD Challenge's commissioning!
Other
- Rho's Monthly Watch Party 2026
- End Date – 2026/12/31
- Synopsis – For each of the 12 months in 2026, a pilot in Rho who was chosen at random, picks a movie or tv show that is rated PG-13 or less and appears on a streaming service. Maston Dane will make a voting document with times listed for that month and everyone marks each day and time that also works for them. After a few days of voting the day with the most people available is chosen and come the day we all meet up on discord coms and each of us on our own screens start at the same time. IAR for every 2 months of joining in on the watch party for at least a minimum amount of time.
- Recon Office Presents- Rally the Troops
- End Date – 2026/03/31
- Synopsis – Make a social media post praising, promoting, or simply discussing the Emperor's Hammer. Points are awarded for Emoji reactions and comments. See competition post for full details.
- Halt, Motto and Name Please!
- End Date – 2026/02/09
- Synopsis – The D-CRV Doomsday is without a motto or a nickname, it has been with the classic "TBA" since I have taken office and I am seeking change from all of you! For the upcoming 30 days, starting on January 10th, all members of the TIE Corps may propose a new motto and a new nickname for the D-CRV Doomsday. This ship is the headquarters and base of operations for the Reconnaissance Office and its staff personnel. See competition page for full details.
HOW TO ADVANCE
I won't repeat all of what I said in the first report here (go see the First Report for the detailed MSE breakdown) but will remind you all that for a month to count towards a promotion a Merit Medal (medal awarded from MSE points) must be earned. Also, want to highlight that to advance beyond Lieutenant you must pass the TIE Corps Core exam.
STANDING ORDERS
As always, the requirements of Active Duty in the TIE Corps are communicating at least once per month, whether that is talking in a Discord channel or sending me a Direct Message on Discord or an email. And then it is important to post some MSE activity at least once every other month, but preferably every month.
