COMMANDER’S QUARTERS

Typhoon’s excellent performance the previous month had reinvigorated Jagged into dreaming up new training packages for the Fleet and he was working tirelessly in the Tactical Office. His pilots have been enjoying the fruits of their labors and had settled back into their normal deployment roles, but that was fine with him.

SQUADRON NEWS

Ok, it took a while but as you all know the results of the 2025 Raise the Flag competition were announced after my October report was sent out and WE DID IT! We took 3rd! Great job, again, to all of you. Without all of your contributions it would not have been possible.

Some highlights from RtF that I want to repeat here for posterity:

• Typhoon Squadron beat out Alpha Squadron in a very tight race to secure a podium finish for the competition
• We had 3 pilots place in the top 25 for the competition with our very own CPT JKast narrowly beating me out for a 5th place overall finish
• CPT JKast also took home a 1st place finish in the BG3 Hotshots competition
• We also took in 7 of the top places in the 4 bonus competitions
• My Round 1 Art entry took home the prize for best Art entry overall for the competition
• We had a 100% participation rate in RtF, one of only a handful of squadrons to achieve that
• We had a 100% merit medal last month with all members receiving at least an ISM

I know most/all of this squadron news was basically from September, but we did not know all of this at the time of the last report, and I didn’t want any of this to not get its time in the sun.

COMPETITIONS

And now for the current competitions available to you all as members of Typhoon Squadron. Remember this is just as of today and you should always check the Competition Center for any new competitions too.

Single Player

• SP Ace of the TIE Corps 2025 - Season Three
  • End Date – 2025/12/31
  • Synopsis – Simple, fly Single Player missions from the Database and submit a BSF with the pilot file to the website. Different games have a different point value to them but fly the platforms you like. Missions can only be flown once per year for credit.
• TIE Golf Invitational 2025
  • End Date – 2025/12/12
  • Synopsis – Your goal is to score the LEAST possible score in the assigned Free mission each week without being negative in score or using cheats. See competition page for all the rules and the assigned mission each week.

Multi-Player

• PvE Ace of the TIE Corps 2025 - Season Three
  • End Date – 2025/12/31
  • Synopsis – Simple, play any approved primary TIE Corps PvE game and submit the winning screenshots to the website. Different games have a different point value to them but fly the platforms you like.
• PvP Ace of the TIE Corps 2025 - Season Three
  • End Date – 2025/12/31
  • Synopsis – Simple, play any approved primary TIE Corps PvP game and submit the winning screenshots to the website. Different games have a different point value to them but fly the platforms you like.
• Last Man Standing
  • End Date – 2025/12/01
  • Synopsis – Play EA Battlefront 2 in Co-Op mode and capture a screenshot of you having the most battle points as possible. See competition page for full details.

Fiction/Trivia

• Trivia for the Challenged 2025 - Season 3
  • End Date – 2025/12/29
  • Synopsis – You all know the drill. Locke sends out trivia questions every week and you all answer them as quickly as you can.
• Name that RSD!
  • End Date – 2025/11/14
  • Synopsis – Submit a name and Mission for our captured Resurgent Star Destroyer. See competition page for full details.

Other

• Rho Watch Parties 2025
  • End Date – 2025/12/31
  • Synopsis – For each of the 12 months in 2025, a pilot in Rho who was chosen at random, picks a movie or tv show that is rated PG-13 or less and appears on a streaming service. Maston Dane will make a voting document with times listed for that month and everyone marks each day and time that also works for them. After a few days of voting the day with the most people available is chosen and come the day we all meet up on discord coms and each of us on our own screens start at the same time. IAR for every 2 months of joining in on the watch party for at least a minimum amount of time.
• Fleetwide Maintenance
  • End Date – 2025/11/30
  • Synopsis – Play the secondary game Void Crew with another TC pilot and collect as much alloy and biomass as you can. See competition page to know how to submit screenshots for credit.
• Minefield Conundrum
  • End Date – 2025/11/13
  • Synopsis – Play the secondary game Minesweeper. See competition page to know how to submit screenshots for credit.

HOW TO ADVANCE

I won't repeat all of what I said in the first report here (go see the First Report for the detailed MSE breakdown) but will remind you all that for a month to count towards a promotion a Merit Medal (medal awarded from MSE points) must be earned. Also, want to highlight that to advance beyond Lieutenant you must pass the TIE Corps Core exam.

STANDING ORDERS

As always, the requirements of Active Duty in the TIE Corps are communicating at least once per month, whether that is talking in a Discord channel or sending me a Direct Message on Discord or an email. And then it is important to post some MSE activity at least once every other month, but preferably every month.
