Competition Results: Raise the Flag 2025Another wild Raise the Flag is in the books! Thanks to each and every pilot who participated in the competition this year! While BG3 may have finished second overall, there's a lot to celebrate with this year's results! In no particular order...
I have a few more RtF stats for BG3 later in this report, but let me again extend my thanks to every pilot who participated in this year's Raise the Flag! As I said on the Discord channel, I'm very happy with the activity this Battlegroup put in for this competition, and continually impressed and thankful for the positive attitude I saw throughout the battlegroup channels this month. Thank you all for being awesome! That will likely do it for large-scale fleet competitions this year, but there's plenty more going on in this battlegroup and beyond! Poll Announcement - Resurgent-class Star DestroyerThere's a new poll running in the Discord server right now that I'd like to bring to your attention. Back during Imperial Storm, we captured a number of First Order ships, which were each given names nominated by a top pilot in the battle in which they were captured. All names have been approved and those ships will soon enter our order of battle... but you may have noticed that one of those ships has not yet been named. The fate of the Resurgent Class Star Destroyer has yet to be determined. This is where the poll comes in. If you haven't already, please take a moment and weigh in on the direction you'd like to see us take with this Resurgent Class Star Destroyer. While it's not technically binding, I'd like to know what people think before we make a final decision on what direction to take with this newly captured ship. Competition Announcement - 2025 Trivia for the Challenged - Season 3 - NEW SEASONIt's time for a new season of Trivia for the Challenged! Get ready for another three months of Star Wars trivia! Rules remain the same from last season. Every Monday, a new set of four trivia questions will be posted on the #bg3-competitions-announcements channel on the Discord server, with topics ranging from quotes, characters, ships, places and just about everything in-between! Competition Upcoming: TIE Golf Invitational 2025It's time for another season of TIE Golf! Our own LC Jagged Fell III is once again running a TIE Golf competition that will start up this week (10/11). For those who aren't familiar, the basic goal behind TIE Golf is to get the lowest score possible (without hitting 0). There's a few extra rules to keep everything fair and kosher (no cheats, no blowing up friendlies, a laser recalculation for TIE that ensures no point shaving by firing lasers into the vastness of space, etc.), but that general principle is what's at the heart of TIE Golf! Competition will run for nine weeks, with a new mission picked weekly. New missions will be announced in the appropriate thread in the #competitions channel, as well as the competition listing. The current plan is to have three weeks of TIE Fighter, three weeks of X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and three weeks of X-Wing Alliance (and not necessarily in that order) IS-BWs and IS-CWs will be awarded weekly to the two pilots with the lowest score for that week's mission. An IS-SW, IS-BW, and IS-CW will also be awarded every three weeks to the three pilots with the lowest average score across all three missions (for any pilot that flew all three missions). Any pilot who flies all three missions in a cycle will also be awarded an ORA. An IS-GW through IS-CW will be awarded at the end of the competition to the four pilots with the lowest average score who flew at least 7 of the 9 missions. Competition Announcement: Fleet Battle Pinball 2025MAJ Sid_amos is running a single player Star Wars Squadrons competition that is open to the whole fleet! The premise is simple. Fly an unranked solo fleet battle as the Empire against the AI in Star Wars Squadrons, and try to earn the best score that you can! Pilots must operate as the Empire, but all other choices (difficulty level, map selection, ship type, loadout configuration, etc.) are up to you! Whatever you think will work best to help you maximize your score! All you need to do is play as the Empire and win! Send a screenshot of your best solo fleet battle score to MAJ Sid_amos (darth.sidious819@gmail.com) by October 31st, 2025. Iron Stars will be awarded to the top four pilots, with an ORA awarded to any pilot that scores 2000 or more. For more information, please view the competition details. Otherwise, happy hunting! |
