August is here! We're one month away from the next big fleet competition, but before that begins, we have a notable anniversary to celebrate - the 30th anniversary of the Infiltrator Wing! Let's begin! |

Competition Announcement - Infiltrator Wing 30th Anniversary CelebrationOn this date, August 1st, 1995, the Infiltrator Wing was born! Providing a new subgroup for X-Wing players and members passionate about Rebel starfighters, it expanded both the supported games and the roleplaying scope of the Emperor's Hammer, laying the foundation for many more subgroups to come! While its time as an independent subgroup ended some twenty years ago, the Infiltrator Wing still lives on as a force within the TIE Corps and our own Battlegroup III, thanks to the pilots of Eagle, Firebird, and Scorpion squadrons! Our remaining Infiltrator Wing squadrons all operate from the MC-90 Renegade, a ship named after the founder of the Infiltrator Wing, Pappy "Renegade" Rene, who likely could not have envisioned that a ship bearing his name would remain in active service thirty years after the Infiltrator Wing's creation! In honor of this remarkable anniversary, I am kicking off three competitions taking place over the next thirty days, which will be open to all members of the TIE Corps. The competitions are...
Props to GN Stryker, who helped put these competitions together! For the Infiltrator Wing 30th Anniversary Celebration: Single Player Challenge, all pilots are challenged to complete the following Infiltrator Wing single player battles to the best of their abilities:
Pilots will be awarded at least one point for every battle they complete. Pilots with the top score for a battle will be awarded two additional points; pilots with the second highest score for each battle will be awarded one additional point. The four pilots with the most points will be awarded Iron Stars. ORAs will be awarded to any pilot that completes 3 of the 6 battles (with two ORAs awarded to any pilot that completes all six battles). No additional submissions are necessary (unless using XWVM) - submit pilot files as normal through the website in order to participate! (If using XWVM: please email pilot files directly to me at locke.f.setzer@gmail.com) For the Infiltrator Wing 30th Anniversary Celebration: Multiplayer Challenge, all pilots are challenged to complete PvP and PvE matches using Rebel (or New Republic or Resistance) units in the following game platforms:
Points will be awarded to pilots for successful PvE and/or PvP wins using Rebel/New Republic/Resistance units in the above listed games, based on the current Game Points assigned to each platform. The four pilots with the most points will be awarded Iron Stars. ORAs will be awarded for every 50 points a pilot earns during this competition. No additional submission process is necessary - simply submit matches as normal through the website in order to participate! For the Infiltrator Wing 30th Anniversary Celebration: Arts Challenge, all pilots are challenged to submit a creative work about the Infiltrator Wing, whether it be about the organization's founding, events during its 30 year history, or whatever sort of mayhem/celebrations are occurring around the fleet in honor of its 30th anniversary. Submissions can be in the form of fiction, a piece of art, a battle plan, a custom mission/battle, song, epic poem, or whatever else might spring from your imagination - just as long as the topic has to do with the Infiltrator Wing (and the submission isn't an AI derived creation or a commissioned work). Scoring will be based on how well the creation fits the prompt, quality, complexity, and originality of the piece (see more information about the grading rubric being used here). The pilots with the top four creations will be awarded Iron Stars, with ORAs being awarded to each pilot that submits an entry. Multiple submissions are allowed, but each pilot is only eligible to one placement position, and additional ORAs will only be handed out for entries deemed worthy (i.e. please do not spam multiple low effort entries). Competition Reminder - 2025 Trivia for the Challenged - Season 2Trivia for the Challenged Season 2 continues on! As a quick recap, every Monday, a new set of four trivia questions will be posted on the #bg3-competitions-announcements channel on the Discord server, with topics ranging from anything from Star Wars proper to people and places in the Emperor's Hammer! Questions remain open for one week. This week's trivia can be found here and will run through end of day (EH/UTC time), August 3rd, 2025. Wing XXII Competition Reminder (ENDING SOON) - Infiltrator's Best FriendGN Stryker has kicked off a competition over in the Renegade/Infiltrator Wing side of the battlegroup (Scorpion, Firebird, and Eagle), challenging these pilots to provide a little history about their astromech droids. All Renegade pilots are encouraged to come up with a name, designations, and physical descriptions of their astromech droids. Additional points will be awarded for providing more in-depth details about your droid, such as specific idiosyncrasies, history, or special modifications. All entries should be submitted to GN Stryker either via Discord (paulb359) or via email (ehstryker@gmail.com) by August 4th, 2025. Awards will be given to the top five finalists. Competition Reminder - 2025 Mission Creation CompetitionFriendly reminder that this summer, the Tactical Office is running a mission design competition intended to encourage the creation of new battles. We're now in the second tier of the competition, with pilots encouraged to create and submit their own battles! Pilots have until August 31st, 2025 to submit a completed battle to the Tactical Office (via FA Pickled Yoda) for submission in this competition. Iron Stars will be awarded for the top five entries. Friendly reminder that submitting a battle requires a pilot to have completed the appropriate Imperial University courses - specifically the Mission Creation and Beta Testing Standards course, and then the appropriate course for whatever platform your battle is for (X-Wing Mission Design for X-Wing, TIE Fighter Mission Creation 3 for TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Mission Design 1 for X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter or Balance of Power, or X-Wing Alliance Mission Design for X-Wing Alliance or TIE Fighter Total Conversion). Competition Reminder - Star Wars Hunters Finale - Season 6 RankedTragically, Star Wars: Hunters will soon shut down its servers on October 1, 2025. As such, this current season will serve as the game's last and its finale. Nevertheless, the TIE Corps will continue to support this platform until its closure. As such, once again, a competition will be held to reward pilots for their final season rank. Just like before, the following awards will be granted to pilots who obtain the listed rank in-game:

Competition Reminder - SWTOR Conquest 2: The Search for More Conquest, Season 7A new season of SWTOR Conquest 2: The Search for More Conquest is in progress! As a quick reminder, this competition is all about SWTOR players earning conquest points while being a member of one of the Emperor's Hammers guilds! The official guilds are on the Star Forge server ("Emperor's Hammer" for the Sith Empire and "Infiltrator Wing" for the Republic). Each week, the top three pilots in each faction that earn the most conquest points are awarded Iron Stars and "placement points", with placement points being used to determine monthly awards, as well as final standings for season awards and the title of Legacy Conquest Champion! Additionally, an ORA is given (up to two, one for each guild) for every pilot that earns over 100,000 conquest points. This season runs from now through August 26, 2025. Competition Reminder - Ace of the TIE Corps 2025: Season 2The second season of this year's Ace of the TIE Corps event is in progress! As a quick reminder, for Ace of the TIE Corps, Iron Stars are awarded to the top fifteen pilots who earn the most points in each category (SP, PvP, and PvE). Points are determined by platform used for completing missions (SP) or winning matches (PvE,PvP).
