News

As mentioned in previous news items, MAJ Wolve Excelsior Berkana stepped down as Warfare Officer Assistant due to Real Life time pressures. His offer of help during a busy period was vastly appreciated and he goes with thanks! In his stead we have appointed two new WOAs - LCM GamerRat and LCM Prot Azar.

The WOAs will be assisting me in a number of tasks -

• Managing the competition queue, which involves ensuring competitions are awarding the right medals, meeting length requirements and not repeating existing competitions.
• Assisting members in setting up their competitions, and helping in medal distribution at the end. If you have medals that need awarding please reach out to either of the WOAs or myself for help.
• Managing the TC wide competitions run by the Warfare Office - these currently include Ace of the TIE Corps (AotTC), TIE Corps in Battle (TCiB), Imperial Storm (IS), Squadron (Re)Mobilization (ReMob) and Raise the Flag (RtF).
• Advertising competitions and helping to come up with competition ideas!
• Drafting the Warfare Office manual!
• Paperwork... lots and lots of paperwork...

What has the Warfare Office been up to this week?

• LCM GamerRat has taken a first pass at the new Warfare Office manual on the wiki. Currently a work in progress we'll be adding to it over the course of the week to ensure the club and the WO/WOAs have a good guide to competition setup and administration.
• FA Phoenix has issued all of the outstanding campaign awards from RtF24 and Imperial Storm VII. Those of you who took part can find them at the bottom of the awards tab on your TC profile. Kudos to AD Robert Hogan for creating a pair of fantastic medal graphics and HA Turtle Jerrar for setting up the medals so that I could issue them. We now know and understand this process better so future campaign awards should be easier & quicker to issue going forward.

Going forward?

• We have a few ORA's left to issue for Imperial Storm VII, but otherwise all outstanding medals should have been processed. If you know of anything missing please let us know.
• We plan to start advertising Squadron (Re)Mobilization more widely around the club as we approach the six-weeks out mark.
• Adding competitions to the TC Calendar.
• Adding major TC wide competitions to the Discord calendar/schedule.

Coming Soon

• Squadron (Re)Mobilization 7 - June 2025: This is a competition that pits squadrons against themselves, chalking off up to four tiers of different tasks over the course of the month. Squadrons that hit 50%, 75% or 100% of the tasks gain titles, ORA's are on offer for task completion and those that hit a certain level qualify for further awards!

• Raise the Flag 2025 - as per usual this will run in late 2025, currently scheduled for September.
