INTRO
First of all, I apologize for the late report, RL got in the middle. Well it has been a quiet week
I’ll let you know, getting used to all the changes for the last decade is quite an interesting challenge, not to mention I’m noticing a huge effort from the admiralty to increase activity levels. I honestly liked the competitions currently going on. Even some of those contain ideas which I was thinking about before reviewing the list.
But the real deal this week however, is the comeback to active duty of LCM Jason Kotare for which I give him once more a warm welcome back into active duty and into Alpha Squadron! LCM Kotare has rejoined in force, with some pretty decent activity which I have the privilege to document on this report. So, with that said, onto the news!

Weekly Shootouts
As part of an effort to reinvigorate our competitive spirit, I have set up in conjunction with the COO, a special set of competitions for both the Hammer and the TIE Corps as a whole. These are called the Weekly Hammer Shootout and the Weekly Ship Shootout respectively. These Shootouts focus on head to head teamplay with squadrons facing squadrons in
These competitions share the following goals and rules in common:
•There must be at least 3 pilots at a minimum for a squadron to be considered present. Only 'present' squadrons will compete formally in the shootouts. Individual pilots may play afterwards in our free sessions held afterwards.
•Squadron commanders will be queried weekly by the COM to determine attendance and best date/time for the event. The event will not have a specific set date per week to accomodate as many as we can.
•For the Weekly Ship Shootouts, matchups are Hammer vs Warrior. The winning squadron is the one with the highest culmulative kill count. Individual pilot performance will also be awarded.
•Weekly Hammer Shootouts will be fought the same way with the individual squadrons of the Hammer. The winning squadron is the one with the highest culmulative kill count and individual pilot performance will be awarded as well.
•Awards for both consist of

COMMANDER’S ANALYSIS
LCM Kotare is a fine addition whose activity reminds me of the old day’s FM usual levels of activity and for that I’m happy.
I thought of competitions for the squadron but after reviewing the ongoing competitions I realized we have more than enough for the moment to become particularly active. I even have to take my time to review each one of the fleet or
Nevertheless, I noticed we have no citations. I think it is time to fix that, just let me review once more the procedures for competitions so I might add just one for us to begin working as a team towards the common goal of getting squad citations.
We also need to get on our foot, on flying shape practicing both coop and PvP for which I’m more than willing for a few sparring rounds with you my fellow Alpha pilots. Contact me on Telegram/Discord so we can work it out!
I’m taking my time to slowly but firmly improve our performance as a unit. I’m considering mid and long term goals...just allow me to catch up with 10 years of events and changes.
And as I previously stated, I liked the ongoing competitions. I’d like however, to see someday an automation of the point system many of those competitions are currently implementing. That’d make way easier to follow the developments, just a thought. I guess I’ll have to experiment with competitions and find ways using MS Excel as I’m already thinking on using it for reporting squadron’s activity.
