REPORT DATE: 18 November 2018
COMMENTARIES
THE NEW EMPIRE (Continuation)

- Your arm, -the Sublieutenant O’Ryan surprised said. – You won’t try to pilot in these conditions.
- Don’t worry O’Ryan, answered the Lieutenant Von Predator. It’s not so serious. Moreover, I wouldn’t lose the action not for the entire world.

The costume was one- piece in traditional black with tight anatomic boots. The cloth was made of plastic material, adapted, according to the Lieutenant, to maintain a pilot to the proper temperature in the vacuum space. The helmet was adjusted to a bearing around the neck of the pilot making it waterproof. But the front part of the helmet had no traditional shape. The place where the face comes, there was a piece of transparent material, where information was reflected in three-dimensional form, as it was a hologram.
- This is the most interesting part of the suit, - Von Predator explained. –All the information in the instruments is reflected here, in front of our eyes, and in an independent way. We can see through it. Moreover, if we push this button, where our right ear is placed, the vision of the outer cameras of our aircraft would be collected, transforming our helmet in a virtual reality device. That means we observe the outer space in a wider way, as if we were out of our ship.
- For this reason –he added- protection panels will be placed on the large windows of our ships. Anyway, if you need to use the traditional type of sight, there is a control on the switchboard that stops the protection to the large windows, although this could reduce the effectiveness of our vision.

We couldn’t keep on getting familiar with the features of the new equipment. The light at the conference room turned into a red intermittent light at the same time as an alarm started ringing through all the corridors in the destroyer. A new attack against the Intrepid was being initiated.

We saw Captain D.T. Hammer hurriedly coming, who had just finished to receive the orders from the superior control command. He called Von Predator and talk to him for a moment, while we finished to put on the equipment. Then he gathered other war pilots. Von Predator called us next to him.

- Follow me – we are going to be part of the first counterattack wave.
Turned to me, he asked…

- Branet, have you ever pilot Tie Bombers?…
The question surprised me. –Only in simulators, Sir, - I answered - My training was essentially based on interceptors. That’s why I was assigned to the Intrepid. There were some vacancies in this field.
- So, you will have to remember your basic training. For this counterattack we need a lot of Tie Bombers- he said turning to us.
- When you are inside your spaceships, you will receive the tactical orders, as well as the information about the mission directly into your helmets. Pay attention to these orders…You must follow them exactly according to instructions.

We had come to the boarding hangar. A large row of battle Ties got lost into the distance, all of them lightly touching the ground, held in a central section through a mechanical arm placed in a vertical position standing in for a transfer crane. Von Predator started indicating, one by one, the ship bound to us. I could notice that orders were being reflected in sequence and from which he was guiding us. Then everyone was already in his own fighter bomber.

To be continue.........................

Greetings.

CPT Rando continues to demonstrate his excellent ability as a pilot, obtaining in this Week 02 new Highscores. Even the difference between one of the last highscores and the new of CPT Rando was more than 60,000.- points, which shows us the great ability of our pilot. Also GN Ric Hunter has shown an excellent performance completing new battles placing in the third place of the Ace of the TIE Corps 2018 competition. Congratulations to both !

Do not forget that the FL position of wing three of our squadron is vacant. Any member of the Tie Corps who is interested in this position will be very welcome. COMPETITIONS

I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

  • Project 659
Each month, fly the SP battles indicated in the Sin Weekly Squadron Report and earn bonus points for high scores and fastest submissions.

  • Commodore's Library
Each month in the commodores report their will be a new theme listed. Write at least a paragraph about the theme to participate. Winner will get the title of Commodore's Librarian and will choose the next theme for the report.

  • Top Muse
Each week submit your idea to AD Pete Mitchell for participation.

  • Wing II Commander's Escort Flight / Warrior Commodore's Escort Flight
These are MP and SP versions of the same comp: fly enough missions to rank among the top four on the Warrior for the month to earn points. Iron Stars are awarded to the top four every month with a quarterly bonus. For the Commodore's Escort Flight, LoCs and LoSs are summed for the total.

  • TIE Corps on Patrol
For 2018, TCoP is moving to every other week. VA Pete Mitchell is taking the TCoP helm this year, so please note that BSF emails/pilot files will be due by 5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern/1 am London one every other Monday starting January 15.

  • TIE Corps Pilot League
Like TCoP, the Pilot League is a single-player comp taking place every other week. The difference here is that pilots have a rolling handicap. Each round, the pilot with the highest handicap score (expressed as a percentage of the high score) in each platform will earn 4 points. The next highest score will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other submissions will earn 1. If the winning pilot in a platform also beat the high score (without the handicap added), that pilot will earn 5 points for that platform.

  • TIE Corps on Recon
Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • TIE Corps vs AI
Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • Wing II Commander's Escort Flight / Warrior Commodore's Escort Flight

PROJECT 659
The Project 659 competition continues! The pilots of Sin have all the month of November to complete these battles for the platforms TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance.

Every battle BSF earns you one point; the first pilot to submit the BSF for each assigned battle earns a bonus point, and additional bonus points are awarded for ≥80% of the existing high score and a further bonus point if you beat the high score. The points will be tracked and an IS-BW medal awarded for every 5 points and an IS-SW medal for every 20 points.
