THE NEW EMPIRE (Continuation)
- Your arm, -the
Sublieutenant O’Ryan surprised said. – You won’t try to pilot in
these conditions.
- Don’t worry O’Ryan, answered the Lieutenant Von Predator. It’s not
so serious. Moreover, I wouldn’t lose the action not for the entire
world.
The costume was one- piece in traditional black with tight anatomic
boots. The cloth was made of plastic material, adapted, according to
the Lieutenant, to maintain a pilot to the proper temperature in the
vacuum space. The helmet was adjusted to a bearing around the neck
of the pilot making it waterproof. But the front part of the helmet
had no traditional shape. The place where the face comes, there was
a piece of transparent material, where information was reflected in
three-dimensional form, as it was a hologram.
- This is the most interesting part of the suit, - Von Predator
explained. –All the information in the instruments is reflected here,
in front of our eyes, and in an independent way. We can see through
it. Moreover, if we push this button, where our right ear is placed,
the vision of the outer cameras of our aircraft would be collected,
transforming our helmet in a virtual reality device. That means we
observe the outer space in a wider way, as if we were out of our
ship.
- For this reason –he added- protection panels will be placed on the
large windows of our ships. Anyway, if you need to use the
traditional type of sight, there is a control on the switchboard
that stops the protection to the large windows, although this could
reduce the effectiveness of our vision.
We couldn’t keep on getting familiar with the features of the new
equipment. The light at the conference room turned into a red
intermittent light at the same time as an alarm started ringing
through all the corridors in the destroyer. A new attack against the
Intrepid was being initiated.
We saw Captain D.T. Hammer hurriedly coming, who had just finished
to receive the orders from the superior control command. He called
Von Predator and talk to him for a moment, while we finished to put
on the equipment. Then he gathered other war pilots. Von Predator
called us next to him.
- Follow me – we are going to be part of the first counterattack
wave.
Turned to me, he asked…
- Branet, have you ever pilot Tie Bombers?…
The question surprised me. –Only in simulators, Sir, - I answered -
My training was essentially based on interceptors. That’s why I was
assigned to the Intrepid. There were some vacancies in this field.
- So, you will have to remember your basic training. For this
counterattack we need a lot of Tie Bombers- he said turning to us.
- When you are inside your spaceships, you will receive the tactical
orders, as well as the information about the mission directly into
your helmets. Pay attention to these orders…You must follow them
exactly according to instructions.
We had come to the boarding hangar. A large row of battle Ties got
lost into the distance, all of them lightly touching the ground,
held in a central section through a mechanical arm placed in a
vertical position standing in for a transfer crane. Von Predator
started indicating, one by one, the ship bound to us. I could notice
that orders were being reflected in sequence and from which he was
guiding us. Then everyone was already in his own fighter bomber.
To be continue.........................

Greetings.
CPT Rando continues to
demonstrate his excellent ability as a pilot, obtaining in this Week
02 new Highscores. Even the difference between one of the last
highscores and the new of CPT Rando was more than 60,000.- points,
which shows us the great ability of our pilot. Also GN Ric Hunter
has shown an excellent performance completing new battles placing in
the third place of the Ace of the TIE Corps 2018 competition.
Congratulations to both !
Do not forget that the FL position of wing three of our squadron is
vacant. Any member of the Tie Corps who is interested in this
position will be very welcome. Just send your request to my e-mail ehbranet@yahoo.com
with a copy to RA Hav Antiel (havantiel@gmail.com),
and AD Plif (plif346@gmail.com)
indicating your interest. Take this opportunity to gain experience
and rank within the TC, in addition to being members of one of the
best squadrons of the Warrior!.

Like TCoP, the Pilot League is a single-player comp taking place every other week. The difference here is that pilots have a rolling handicap. The next highest score will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other submissions will earn 1.
