SIN WEEKLY SQUADRON REPORT #40
SIN CMDR: LC Hav Antiel
REPORT DATE: 8 June 2018
SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER
Yods Sends His Best

It's time to Raise the Flag, Sinners!

As you can see, Pickled Yoda has sent some warm regards. Here's a quick update on where we stand:
  • Sin is currently 3rd behind Theta and Cyclone (Cyclone?) with 260 points.
  • The Warrior leads all ships with 1115 points.
  • I lead Sinners with 159 points (good for 5th among all pilots).
  • Four Sinners have tallied points so far: myself, CPT Rando, LC Earnim Branet, and GN Exar Kit (44.4% participation).
Not a bad start, pilots, but I'd like to see us pull closer to the front.

Here's what I'd like to see this week.

Goals for RtF Week 2
  1. Increased Sin participation (100% is the goal!)
  2. Bonus Fiction submissions from multiple Sinners
  3. Bonus Graphics submissions from multiple Sinners
Those are my three goals for the week. If you can write, then whip up a fiction entry! If you can draw or Photoshop or use meme websites, then create some graphics!

I have no Internet connection at home until the end of the month, and even that hasn't stopped me! This is the time to show 'em what Sin's made of, pilots, so let's get to it!
SQUADRON NEWS
  • Raise the Flag is here!
  • SL Zeskirleff joins us as Sin 1-2!
  • Pell has been kidnapped! Write a Bonus Fiction that explains the circumstances. (Due 6/11)
  • Project 659 continues. See below for new June assignments.
  • Imperial Storm is over. The Warrior is victorious, thanks in no small part to CPT Rando.
  • CPT Rando and LC Branet finish 1st and 4th in TCoP Round 11.
  • LC Branet finishes 2nd in TCAI Week 21.
  • LC Branet finished 2nd in Week 22 of TCoR.
COMPETITIONS

I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

  • Project 659
Each month, fly the SP battles indicated in the Sin Weekly Squadron Report and earn bonus points for high scores and fastest submissions.

  • TIE Corps on Patrol
For 2018, TCoP is moving to every other week. VA Pete Mitchell is taking the TCoP helm this year, so please note that BSF emails/pilot files will be due by 5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern/1 am London one every other Monday starting January 15.

  • TIE Corps Pilot League
Like TCoP, the Pilot League is a single-player comp taking place every other week. The difference here is that pilots have a rolling handicap. Each round, the pilot with the highest handicap score (expressed as a percentage of the high score) in each platform will earn 4 points. The next highest score will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other submissions will earn 1. If the winning pilot in a platform also beat the high score (without the handicap added), that pilot will earn 5 points for that platform. There are more details about the handicap calculations on the competitions page, but needless to say, I'm very excited about this one!

  • Imperial Storm - A New Hope
This is the turn-based map campaign that the WARDs have been working on for some time. Battle teams led by the Warrior, Hammer, and TCCS battle for dominance over systems on the map. Be on the look out for SP and MP assignments, pilots.

  • TIE Corps on Recon
Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • TIE Corps vs AI
Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • Wing II Commander's Escort Flight / Warrior Commodore's Escort Flight
These are MP and SP versions of the same comp: fly enough missions to rank among the top four on the Warrior for the month to earn points. Iron Stars are awarded to the top four every month with a quarterly bonus. For the Commodore's Escort Flight, LoCs and LoSs are summed for the total.
PROJECT 659
Let's keep earning those Squadron Citations, Sinners. Every month, I'll announce a battle for TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. Your mission is to fly those battles before the end of the month.

Every battle BSF earns you one point; the first pilot to submit the BSF for each assigned battle earns a bonus point, and additional bonus points are awarded for ?80% of the existing high score and a further bonus point if you beat the high score. I'll keep track of points and award IS-BWs for every 5 points and IS-SWs for every 20 points.

CURRENT STANDINGS
Pilot Battles Bonus Points
CPT Rando 9 20 (fastest submission x9, 80% x7, high score x4) 29

With 29 points, CPT Rando has earned another IS-BW!
