The final awards and promotions post-RTF have rolled through inboxes and I must admit they're an impressive bunch - even more surprising is that 4 quick weeks appear to have flown by since the end of the competition, we're now entering August after a month to recuperate or in Yoda's case simply continue...




Congratulations of course to Yoda on the award of his coveted Imperial Cross, its always great to see someone achieve a rare medal and more importantly for everyone know they deserve it. In this case many years of peak flying and continued efforts to go above and beyond the line of duty made him an easy choice, particularly after his sterling efforts during June. Well done that man! In addition he managed to claim the Killboard SP title for July in the lull, despite my efforts to deliberately forget to BSF his files... hmmm...




In a rare break from tradition it's also a good time to officially congratulate the TAC on her even rarer OoR or OotR or whichever acronym suits best, suffice to say it's a reward earned by one of the longest serving CS I can recall. In addition well done to Pell and Woody on their promotions to Admiral and Fleet Admiral respectively, both have earned it the hard way by working and working, building on their predecessors and heading in new directions. Other than congratulating half the fleet there is little to report from Theta for the previous weeks, however an MSE will be sent in the next day or so, Thetan Ace will continue with Yoda having claimed the last 3 weeks SP titles thanks to TCoP rounds, and I may yet find a suitable banner to express our restrained joy at holding on to our squadron title. Until then!

Thetan Aces continues, MP is in abeyance until someone flies while Yoda awaits a challenger for the weekly SP totals - you only have to beat 3.




Operational Picture

…It's pretty much set, took a while to do it mind, the stuff is slick enough that it tries to self level - we had to do the entire cabin floor then work upwards in layers. Almost lost Gilad at one point, his exit route began to slide shut but we got him out after a bit, he only stopped breating for like 30 seconds max... he's still looking a bit peaky come to think of it. We did notice one downside, apparently armoured decks don't enjoy having 8 tonnes of duracrete on top, we've had to brace the deck below with some of the damage control locker's bits and bobs...
