In the time since my last report a number of major changes have dominated the discussions of recent days. I'd like to again reiterate my personal thanks and those of the squadron to HA Bonini on his long and glorious service as TCCOM. He's moved on to the Phoenix and will hopefully follow the most famous of its inmates (let's call them T and F for the sake of subtlety) in eventually returning to us. The award of a Medal of Honour and promotion to GN should he wish to return to the line squadrons was a welcome reward from the FC.


The King is dead, long live the King! The SOO, Elwood the Brave, has stepped up to the mark as TCCOM and recently promoted Admiral. COL Pellaeon has taken over as SOO, adopting the rank of Vice Admiral he previously earned as Redemption COM - bonus points to those of us who served onboard her during her brief career! Thankfully Crsepe isn't going anywhere and a measure of continuity is ever present.


Surprisingly all this news has bumped the most recent Force Awakens trailer and fallout from Celebration much further down the list, suffice to say the level of enthusiasm being seen across the net is a strong indicator that optimism remains even after the prequels tested this sorely. Fingers crossed this optimism is well placed, should all else fail the upcoming Battlefront looks to include at least a few cockpit scenes which may well add an extra string to the TC's cumulative bow.


As we're far enough down the report that most have stopped reading I can now apologise for the unreported 24 days of April - promoting me to GN must therefore be deemed in hindsight to have been a massive fail on the COMs part, I can only dread Frown's satisfaction at my failings and simultaneous, manic depression at the lack of proper administration and punctuality. Thankfully he's an unthinking, unambitious COL and can be ordered to go away!


I've managed little in the way of flying this month as I've been so thoroughly distracted by the RL work that has ruined my efforts to report on time, thankfully flying duty has been taken up by Yoda and Keth. The latter has produced SP and MP, while Yoda has continued to dominate TCoP for the last few weeks and taken a strong lead in the COM Protector competition to boot. Well done to both as always. Yoda's BSFs for the last TCoP have been recorded by the TCCOM but not yet been processed as the HS's need to be checked against the COMs records for the comp, but these will follow soon.


Suffice to say medals a plenty, for more than just Yoda thanks to a number of MoCs being awarded and the Commendations of Loyalty earned by Mark and Gilad!

Theta Competitions

Thetan Aces ongoing, Yoda's consistent flying has earned him another 3 IS-BWs with a consecutive score of 4, 10, and 4 missions. Keth's single LoC was enough to earn him the IS-BW for last week's MP section. Well done to you both, medals are on the way.

Operational Picture

…What happened to who? Admirals you say? Bah, they're all the same when it comes down to it, the number of medals and bits of shine on their rank slides is inversely proportional to their usefulness as far as I'm concerned. No I'm not just bitter because I'm "still a Colonel", I earned this rank and it's the rank where all the REAL work is done, let me tell you...

...General La'an? He's headed off to the Phoenix with the squadron escorting the old TCCOM as was, inspecting the battlegroup on the way. Sad to see him go, but the new guy should be cut from the same cloth - you know what it's like over on the Challenge, egomaniacal madmen every single one of them. Least that's what I got told by the Crew Chief working with Delta, although he might just be a touch bitter, what with his ex-wife being the Crew Chief for Tornado and all...

Alas I can make no promises regarding the next report's date, I may even surprise you all and release one on time - my only mitigation would be that while reporting is not my forte at present I'm always available and happy to return mails and queries within 24 hours. With RtF beginning to be mentioned fingers crossed we're in a position to build on, ready to defend our title or at least force it's next owners to claim it over our metaphorically dead bodies! And on that bombshell...
