Description:
The Roost is an MC40 light cruiser, originally designed by the Mon Calamari and modified by Emperor's Hammer fleet engineers. In 30 ABY, discussions were made to assign the (to date) two infiltrator wing squadrons, Eagle Squadron and Firebird Squadron, to their own cruiser to aid them in their missions. Arguments pointed to a cruiser designed by the Mon Calamari, as it would give the squadrons more credibility in their cover. To hold it on a level with the A/CRS in Battlegroup III, the decision was made to utilize an outdated MC40 light cruiser and modify it to fit the needs of up to two infiltrator squadrons.
