I don't mind lots of fighters which already makes battle pretty repetetive, but mission "here's rockets, go kill in MIS fleet that requires 4 times more rockets to destroy" makes it absolutely boring, when you fly for dozens of minutes around each capship, slowly blasting it with your single laser. It also would be good if motivation in plot for that was something better than "we've just decided to blast entire NR fleet with 4 MIS'". And there's similar bonus goals just for people who hadn't enough fun on that mission...
Nice introductory mission, indeed. Plot is logical and interesting and mission themselves seems to be clear of errors and things like capships with fighter orders that we all like so much. The only problem is the last mission - I will never understand why forcing bombers to flee in "defend capship" type mission could be considered "failure".
This battle is really something original. As noted before, plot is not too much realistic, but missions setup is really interesting. I'll take away some of rating for capships that always crush stuff around them and other glitches, but except that it's excelent!
It's just a bit modified mission from original TIE. Check "secondary mission goal complete" message and try to find "Protector" mentioned in it on mission map.
