Significant events of childhood: Devin was found in the Agrilat Swamp in a landspeeder that had broken down, the bodies of what presumably were his parents were found nearby very evidently mauled by a Dire Cat at a young but unverifiable age. He was discovered by a recovery team that responded to the emergency beacon that activated during the tragedy, and due to being unable to locate any next of kin he wound up in an orphanage. As he grew it became evident that Devin had something of a rebellious streak and wound up getting into scraps with his bunkmates, and exhibited some aptitude in unarmed combat and also showed some ability in medical treatment as he usually could be found patching up the other boys after their scuffles, he also gravitated toward sim-games and had some measure of strategic and spatial awareness, overall he showed promise, but there were few opportunities available given the circumstances.
