Battle Reviews

On easy, a quick mission to complete. Wasn't actually sure why I had a beam weapon fitted, but that didn't stop the goals being pretty clear cut - certainly one for another play through on a harder setting at a future date.

Fairly easy on hard. I wasn’t able to save the platform, but had already met the survival objective. I thought I was going to be escorting some dancers to the club. Oh well.

The Secret Order briefing was extremely cryptic and not helpful. I assume this is just inside jokes. The map briefing was basically non-existent but it kinda fits with the plot. Once the mission starts, checking goals shows you the plot twist they were going for. And then once the twist happens, you are never attacked. I almost destroyed everything in the mission before someone bothered to shoot at me. Was a cake walk.

Interesting mission. It was entertaining. You are in a TIE interceptor modified to have a tractor beam and advanced missiles, intercepting a shuttle and some fighters. It was pretty easy to get a good score on hard difficulty and was a pretty quick mission as well.

Gameplay on this mission is acceptable and pretty straightforward. However, the technical implementation spoils what little plot line is there (as soon as you check your mission goals you see what's up), so that's unfortunate. The goals are also a bit oddly structured. Mission briefing is extremely minimal. On the plus side, you're flying an unshielded T/I (one of my favorite craft), so the no shields is a nice change of pace from the typical T/D missions. I played the mission on hard.

Primary and secondary goals are all trivial to complete. Briefings and plotline in general could use a lot of work. Technical problems (platform has starfighter orders, A-wings hyper out for no apparent reason).

Very good and fun, simple mission with excellent storyline. No boring T/F vs. entire rebel fleet, just few ships to shot down. Although I noticed three or four names for the same platform, I give it a 5 :P

Battle Bug Reports

Tractor beam charge level was hovering over my crosshair instead of the beam display on the bottom right.
