There was a nice set of background information about the ISDII Intrepid (II) which was the ship under attack. The officer briefing covered the history of the ISDII Intrepid (II) before giving a small blurb about how the ship is under attack now and must be defended. The map briefing was on point showing the multiple waves of enemy ships. The mission itself had a nice variety of ships to destroy, A-Wings, X-Wings, and B-Wings. And instead of flights of enemies, you had one of each alphabet ship and when one got killed another one would hyper in to replace it. Flying in unshielded craft though was a little nerve wracking on hard as it didn't take much for one of the enemy ships that hyperspaced in to come and shoot you down while you were trying to mop up another ship. In the end I found it quite entertaining for a destroy everything mission.

This was a fun one. A little tough on hard difficulty but very fun. It has you mostly dogfighting in a vanilla, unshielded tie interceptor against a series of rebel craft of various types. You have to protect your cap ship but i get the sense it was not in real danger. The real danger is surviving and getting enough kills to get a good score. I enjoyed it.

A fun little "Kill them all" mission. Uncomplicated - just you, your stock TIE Interceptor and a lot of A-Wings, X-Wings and B-Wings to kill. Enemies tend not to target you, which makes things a little simpler - not having to dodge missiles all the time is a positive.

This was a quick and straightforward free mission, even on hard difficulty. You're assigned to clear out the incoming rebel fighters, and it's about as complex as that. The way the fighters came in was actually an interesting change of pace compared to the typical waves, and mixed things up a little bit. It's also a nice change of pace to NOT be in the typical T/D. (I can confirm the problem with the messages, but didn't happen to notice the X-wing issue.)

A mixture of good and bad things. The designer is clearly from Australia :) (that's a good thing :P ). So good and bad things, the good first, you are flying in a T/I and your fellow Imperials are also flying in an assortment of regular, down to earth TIes, such as T/Fs and T/Bs. Fighting against Rebel fights of several flavours, A-Wings, B-Wings and X-Wings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The bad, the ISD you are protecting is never in any real risk. All Rebel FGs are single craft... The fight itself is relatively balanced, but perhaps on hard-mode it could do with a few more rebels. There are also two minor bugs. One X-Wing is caught flying in a loop as it is escorting another FG and if you kill that FG first, then this X-Wing is kind of stranded. The second bug, all the messages are popping from the very beginning. Both of these though are not influencing the mission in any way so will not scare away people by posting them as bugs.

Description
-----------
This mission is part of a series of free missions about each of the squadrons in the ASF doing
missions following their squadron objective in their assigned craft. Each mission tries to give
a feel and a bit of history of each of the Squadrons. All the storylines of the missions are
interconnected and have the ASF Squadron join together against a common foe.

Story Line
----------
The ISDII Intrepid (II) was commissioned by Emperor Palpatine right after the battle
of Yavin to replace the original ISD Intrepid, which was destroyed by X-Wings and Y-Wings while
scouting the Cron Drift.

Just before Endor, when the EH was founded it was assigned to reinforce this new fleet.
About four years ago it was grouped together with the GreyWolf to form the Aggressor Strike
Force. The first COM was RA Sarok.

The Intrepid carries TC Wing XIV and currently is under the command of VA Brakka who succeeded VA Pel,
the current WO, the current WC is LC Dengar March. The Intrepid always been a steady factor in
the ASF, it came in second in the last ASF:SCIII.

NR-SSF recon has located the Intrepid! A strike force of elite NR Squadrons has been sent in
to take out our proud Ship! Wing XIV will be launched to ward off the attack - Good Luck!

NOTE
-------------------
