In order to be able to play this battle, you must play TIE 95, not the TIE 98 version. Turn off the background settings once in flight (go to simulator if needed). Then bypass the CD-ROM error by hitting "F" when prompted once you launch the mission. Was able to finally complete it. Thanks Phalk and Hermann for letting me know.

The mission goals are completely ambiguous. Mission 2 just says kappa must complete mission, but I can't even figure out how to get kappa to show up!

Ahem. KILLKILLKILL. 'nuff said. Although I suppose I could add that I get tired of having to destroy all those fighters only to have one careen through the hull of my ship, hence the reason I have not - and will not - complete this battle.

This was a fun battle with an interesting plot. It’s not too hard and can be finished fairly quickly, but watch out for mission 4. Be sure to protect those Missile Boats and you may need to call for reinforcements. I recommend this mission for pilots that are looking for an interesting battle. I give it a 4.5 (Rounded up to a 5 for purposes of the EH review scale)

2] Check the Misc folder in your TIE95 one for additional material like patches, sounds etc.
3] Press the TIE Fighter button on the EHBL to start the game
4] Create a new pilot and fly the first battle
