The primary objectives (inspecting some containers) are easy enough, especially if you route all power to engines. Things get a lot more complicated (and difficult) once the enemy force shows up.
If you reroute the laser, shield and beam systems to the engines, you can complete the mission in less than 5 minutes, without a single enemy showing up.
For the most part, a good and complex mission. However, there were way too many waves of each enemy craft, and that got monotonous and dull very quickly.
Good mission. Simple, easy, technically sound...and the briefing keeps you informed...well made.
This mission is pretty well balanced, but there are a few problems. First, the mission takes a while to play though because of the distance between the containers. Second, the secondary goals are uncompletable due to the bug described below. Third, the enemy ships will attack the ships they're supposed to be protecting so it turns into a race to destroy the enemies before they destroy themselves.
This mission actually requires some brain activity above the normal fly-shoot-win level. Nice.
At first this mission seems like an impossible mess. Then you take some time to fly it a few times to see how it works and you soon realise that it simply requires a lot more tactcal thinking than your average mission. It's actually very well balanced and challenging IF you do things in the right order. Nice work, Inky.
A great mission! Lots of fighters to kill, but not so many that it gets boring. The only down side to the mission is that you have to fly a Assault Gunboat :^/

A great mission! Not only is it amusing but it is really well done. Inspecting containers has never been so much fun.

Welcome to Patrol Flight, a utility unit which does the fleet's boring jobs while all the
hotshot fighter pilots are busy fighting rebels, laying waste to the Republic, and
emotionally abusing Ewoks!
In this mission, you will have the rewarding task of scanning four traffic drones, which
have been programmed to collect statistics on local trade traffic--statistics which are
vital to the Empire's mission of creating efficient navbuoy placements and lucrative toll
rates.
DIFFICULTY LEVELS: Anyone should be able to accomplish the primary goal of this mission.
It involves flying in a square and scanning four objects. But for those who attempt the
secondary goals, there are a few differences in the levels. On Easy, only half the number
of pirate ATRs appear. On difficult, there are escort shuttles protecting the ATRs.

If you stuck around long enough to read all that, you deserve a couple of tips. The Rebs
don't appear until you destroy a drone, so put it off until you've beaten the pirates.
The tug will be almost certainly be disabled. When it is, the ATRs must be destroyed
before they can get to it and destroy it! When half the pirates are gone, rescue tugs
will appear to save the disabled craft. When the ATRs are all destroyed, the pirates
will begin to retreat.
