A very well laid out battle with no boring endless waves coming at your MIS. The rebel mon cal that appears can be killed in the prior missions if you SLAM at it and bomb it, and than it reappears in the final battle.
SLAMing and bombing it makes the last showdown mission super simple.
Although this is not a challenging battle to complete, I imagine getting a good score would take some time and repetition. It's a jovial battle overall, the creator here has a devious sense of humour.
Fun battle. What a thrill to see Kappa flying its missile boats. The story was ok and the briefings were adequate. You have to do lots of stuff, including help out hapless TIE Defenders disable escaping crafts when they are too slow taking down its shields. You have to be fast to get some objectives in time. There's inspecting, cap ship busting, dogfighting - hold those pesky Awings still with the tractor while toasting them with missiles. Lots of missile boat fun!
Highly enjoyable. No bugs, the mission plays well. Even though I used to watch A-Team as a kid, I felt the theme was taking me out of the immersion. Also there was a missed opportunity to say Tractor Bins instead of Beam. ;) All-in-all the gameplay was excellent and the missions made good use of the Missile Boat. The only nitpick is the briefing maps were on a single stop sequence which means you cant use the fast-forward and need to wait (in at least some of the mission). The storyline was excellent but would have liked it to be Star-Wars universe themed and not A-Team.
This is a funny and interesting battle that I recommend. There are good briefings, lots of stuff to kill, and A-Team references. There are a couple of flaws like an annoying mission 2 and having to help TIE Defenders disable craft in a Missile Boat in mission 3, but it’s still a good overall battle. It’s not too challenging and its fun to play. I give it a 4.40 (rounded down to a 4 for purposes of the EH review scale.)
Excellent job. Little bit of humor and you fly the Missile Boat alot! This is the 1st battle I've ever used the SLAM boosters so it was even better.
Not a bad battle, and one of the few that shows how versatile a Missile Boat can be. This battle can be completed by only using missiles, but keep your lasers charged! On the last mission, just jump right in, it's a blast.
I enjoyed this one. Being a newer pilot still, it was right up my alley. I flew it on the hard setting with little difficulty. It was a fun one, with a decent plot. For some reson though, the opposition didn't seem to target on me that often.
Mr. T flys around in an Assault Transport, talks trash in "Mr.T Speak", and helps you blow up Rebels. 'Nuff said!!! I pity the foo' who don't fly TC-TIE 132!
Not bad as far as battles go and one of the few that shows what can be done with a Missile Boat. The battle can be completed with missiles alone, but keep your lasers charged, just in case.
This battle is quite good. The plot is um... original. At least it holds together, and the mission design whilst not being revolutionary isn't unpleasant either (apart from the final mission). I can think of worse ways to get 4 FCHG points :). (BTW - sorry if I'm not entitled to a review. I tried to keep it bias free :)
A high rating, why? There was a marked difference between difficulty levels. I have three other family members in the TIE Corps. I flew it on hard and had some difficulty, my wife flew it on medium and it went well. My sons flew on easy and succeeded brialliantly in the (for a 9 and 7 year old) difficult task of putting warheads on target. Good Job!!!
It was a good battle, not very high on the difficultly level, but was throughly enjoyable

This battle has 3 things going for it. 1) It's on the easy side. 2) I bagged me some high scores (probably won't last long though). 3) Mr T is in it! Anything with Mr T is pure gold in my book.
The missions don't have much variety but it is a good battle to fly for lesser pilots.

Installation Instructions: Install the files in your TIE Fighter directory: bins1.tie - \MISSION bins2.tie - \MISSION bins3.tie - \MISSION bins4.tie - \MISSION battle1.lfd - \RESOURCE Description: A wealthy Imperial sympathetic businessman known only to the Hammer as "Mr.T" has recently fallen under a series of attacks from pirates, aided by the rebel alliance. These attacks have centered around a set of large processing vats, known as "Mr. T's Bins". The function and contents of these vats have never been established, as Mr T. is extremely secretive about his business operations. It is known, however that these bins are the cornerstone of his lucrative enterprise, and that should they be destroyed, one of the Hammer's largest sources of hard credits would be taken away. To this end, Kappa Squadron have been dispatched from the SSSD Sovereign, along with the support craft, M/FRG Sprake. Their mission, to ensure that once and for all the rebels learn to STAY AWAY FROM MR.T'S BINS... Mission One. ============ Description : All three flights of Kappa Squadron, arrive at Mr T's home platform - the X/7 Factory Station Hannibal. The station and its limited fighter defences are engaged in a pitched battle for control of the bins. Stop the Rebels and Pirates as they attempt to capture/destroy Mr T's Bins. Destruction is preferable to capture, as the Rebels must not learn the secret of the Bins! Hold this position until the M/FRG Sprake can arrive! Mission Two. ============ Description: After the damage caused by the rebels to the bins last mission, Mr T requires two new bins to replace his damaged merchandise. Escort Mr.T's container transports as they deliver the goods to PLT Hannibal. Do not allow this shipment to be interrupted, Kappa! Mr T's own forces will be unavailable to help as they are still recovering from the last skirmish. Mission Three. ============== Description: To further secure Mr T's bins, we are now planning to eliminate the pirate groups in this sector. Mr T informs us that his bins have a few more tricks up their sleeves - and that the Rebels will wish they had stayed away! Whilst Mr T's base prepares it's trap, we are retrieving some supplies which will be necessary to safeguard this area for good. Mission Four. ============= Description: The trap is sprung! Through the use of a mole onboard the rebel mothership, we have lured the rebels into a revenge strike for the near-total destruction and theft of supplies we dealt to their pirate allies last mission. Whilst we were away, liberating the chemical supplies, Mr T. has amassed a strike force which will wipe out the rebel presence in this sector for good. Mr T. has also revealed to us that the supplies we aquired will temporarily convert his bins into a giant gravity well projector - the equivalent of an interdictor cruiser. With this arsenal under our belts, the rebels should learn to stay away from Mr. T's bins once and for all! This battle is dedicated to Mr T.
