This is a well crafted, engaging battle.
A really enjoyable five mission battle with an engaging plot that takes you through a campaign of restoring imperial communications to Grand Admiral Thrawn.
The mission briefings are concise with detailed Officer reports that advance the plot of the campaign.
The missions are interesting and are well balanced in terms of difficulty.
I would enjoy flying this battle again.
The battle starts off really good with three interesting missions that are moderately challenging, and a solidly written plot to hold it together. The last half of the third mission begins to show weakness, becoming quite spammy with excessive enemy craft present at once. This issue persists for the rest of the battle. Luckily it's not particularly difficult to manage, or at least it seemed easier than the earlier missions. Still, it does get a little tiresome, and loses the spark of creativity that the battle started with. Some of the fighter deployments are a bit weird, but otherwise it's a solid battle and generally fun to fly. Lots of dogfighting action here.
Reading the other reviews, I came into this battle with low expectations. Surprisingly, this battle totally surpassed them. Not only was the plot decent if not particularly fantastic, it also played well and had some nice quirks (such as the missile boat run, which was quite nice). Admittedly, this battle -is- one big dogfight, but every once in a while, what's wrong with that? A very nice battle.
Seemed like it was a wave after wave dogfighting battle.
This battle is a good challenge, but the way some of the missions are designed makes it less fun to play.

I am on the third mission and when ever I start I am automatically destroyed by the Avenger, which shows up as a shipyard. No matter how I try and move at the start my MIS is destroyed.
