It's a wonderful idea and mostly well executed, finding clever but reasonable ways to make it more difficult then just destroying one X-Wing (although I appreciate the "true" version is maintained on Easy). I think there's just a couple small things that keep it from being perfect (see bug report), but the X-Wing enthusiast in me certainly appreciated this one!

I remember playing the X-Wing original mission many times because I was about five years old and this was the easiest one to do. It's nice to get the imperial side, and there's impressive effort involved. Some minor issues bring it down slightly... but this is a fine bit of work.

Fun and interesting recreation of the „classic”. Everything is polished tight, except for a little typo in the officer questions „desingated” craft if I remember correctly. Tried to take on the M/CRV with T/F but in the end was too lazy to risk reflying it :)

The idea for this set of missions is great. Having the original X-Wing series missions in TIE Fighter is awsome, especially with the switch of sides. This mission has been realy easy and is a nice and easily earned FCHG point.

The mission is not the most riveting in the mission compendium, but it did raise the bar on mission design going forward. The premise is solid, the design is solid, the briefings have actually been proofread, and there's a custom voice pack! Excellent work, Hawk - I look forward to seeing more of the X-Wing in TIE Fighter project.

I really like the idea of creating Xwing missions in TIE from the perspective of the Empire. I hope to see more of this. This mission wasn't necessarily hard, but well designed and made me want more like it.

A nice scrambling mission, which features survival-based scoring for starfighter-size FGs. This uncommon twist makes it very interesting and demanding precision-wise.

X-Wing Gold, A-Wing Blue, and SHU Escape did not appear on Hard - this is likely because the craft limit was exceeded

X-WING in TIE FIGHTER PROJECT
------------------------------

Welcome to the 'X-Wing in TIE Fighter' project!

My aim is to adapt many of the Missions and Tours of Duty from the original X-Wing game, making them playable in 'TIE Fighter'.

Each mission is re-created as closely as possible to the original, and then carefully altered to present the missions from the
Imperial point of view. Although this means each mission has a different outcome from that presented in the X-Wing game, efforts
have been made to ensure the 'timeline' remains the same. Significant events that impact the wider Star Wars timeline still occur,
although perhaps in a slighly different way. This has been done to create a series of enjoyable, winnable missions that will not,
ultimately, break the EH's own background!

Each Mission, Free of otherwise, will be as close to the original as possible if the game is set to 'Ewok' (Easy). As the difficulty
increases, so does the amount of required adaptation. In X-wing, one or two Rebel fighters would destory waves of Imperial fighters -
whereas one or two Rebel fighters would be easy pickings for even a single player-controled TIE Fighter. So, additional flight groups
are added, given missiles, and so on.

If you feel you would like to get involved in the X-WING in TIE FIGHTER project, please contact CM Hawkins at nedius@gmail.com

The Free Missions
-----------------

The optional/training battles in X-Wing took the form of simulated versions of missions flown by Rebel pilots. Here, those simulations
have been adapted for Imperial use. Now, you can fly those missions again, but this time in service to the Empire!

Many of the training missions will be presented as a TIE Fighter Free Mission.

This is the second such mission!

Dev's Defeat
-------------------------

This mission recreates a terrible moment in Imperial history - the massace of trainee pilots by a single Rebel pilot, known as 'Dev'.
He apparently accidentally jumped into the training site during his own training programme, and, assuming this was all part of his
training, proceeded to destory a large number of Imperial pilots.
You now have the chance to prevent that same massacre.
