Another battle that would have been good but was not properly balanced around hard difficulty. Mission 3 and 4 are particularly difficult to complete on hard.
Another narrative based battle from Dempsey, and it's both very good and challenging. The backstory is outstanding and the missions are both hard but a lot of fun. It is also, a splash of freshness in the worn-out T/A-GUN binomial it is so frequently proposed in the Compendium. Engaging as all of Dempsey's, but also brilliant. Not to be skipped this one.
Nice battle we got here! It doesn't involve the EH at all but it's a nice story to tell, yet I'm still wondering why someone who kills his family for money spends 20 years looking for vengeance in behalf of a friend. All 5 missions are very well built and almost bug-free and craft patches work excellent with the retro feeling (20+ years BBY). Definitely excellent and refreshing, especially considering that BoP is among our less used game platforms. BUT! It's somewhat difficult flown on Medium and almost impossible on Hard due to crazy "Ace" AI, which in XvT/BoP means instant death if you're forced to face it alone. And that's what you get; you're fighting almost alone through the entire battle and I'm not counting the Firespray for you're actually supposed to protect it which only adds... more trouble. In the end I was forced to play 3 or 4 missions on Medium and I don't like when I don't have a chance. So far, this one would be worth a 4 on Easy/Medium difficulty but for a weirdo highscore hunter like me, used to play on Hard no matter what, I find necessary to lower it to a 3. Some FGs appearing only on Hard with "Officer" or "Veteran" AI and mirroring those on Easy/Medium should be enough.
mission 1: player is given chaff when enemy craft do not use missiles.
Some typos, though chances for them to be seen are slim since they're on debriefings (except last one on Mission 5) and those are not used outside BoP Campaigns: Mission 2 Failed Debriefing: "gardulla" instead of "Gardulla". Mission 3 Successful Debriefing: "ebtray" instead of "betray". Mission 4 Failed Debriefing: "outgunneed" instead of "outgunned". Mission 5 Briefing: "he wrath of the Empire" instead "[t]he wrath of the Empire".
Mission 3 name is "Imperial Contact" but that makes no sense, for all this happens BEFORE The Empire and they're Old Republic Forces what you're fighting against on this mission.
One could argue that The Empire was already there hidding itself and rottening the very core of the OR but... hmmpfff...
Anyway, there's another bug of sorts on this mission: IMHO it's IMPOSSIBLE to complete it on Hard or Medium difficulty. See, you need PROB HP-45 to arrive as Primary Goal and for that to happen 75% of the enemies must be destroyed AND PLT/3 Barris must be at 0% shields. But given the Ace AI of the enemy, which is QUITE HIGH for Hard difficulty and a good challenge for Medium, the platform has all chances to be already destroyed long before you manage to destroy so many TIEs. Therefore, VEN Omnipotence will hyper out carrying the rest of its TIE Squadrons and you won't be able to destroy 75% of them no matter what.
Ok, that's not EXACTLY a bug; it works as it's meant to, but it makes virtually impossible to complete the mission unless you attack and destroy the VEN directly. But alas! It'd make impossible to protect the FRS properly and you'd be sold too...
In the end, Ace AI is but very high for Medium and what nightmares are made of for Hard, rendering all battles almost impossible... -almost- IMHO this particular one IS impossible for reasons stated above unless played on Easy, where your foes will be slow and dumb enough as for you to vape 75% of them in time without the VEN making good work from the platform before.

Well, only his name appears, and his craft, the CORT Caretaker. In 'Derrick's Bounty' (XvT free 225), we take a small step back in time to where the Emperor's Hammer confisquates Rem's ship, the FRS Caretaker. All in preparation for the undercover operation of 'Bounty Hunter'. In this battle, we go back even further in time, to when Rem and his friend Wynn were successful smugglers/pirates/bounty hunters, making a small fortune for themselves during the last years of the Old Republic, and during the Clone Wars era. Note ---- These missions aren't very complicated. I mainly wanted to tell a story. Still, you can make it as difficult as you want...
