Neither the story or the missions really hit for me. Gets a 3 because they are at least fast and not aggravating

Definitely unworthy of a pink lollipop - although I find I can't remember any particular detail of the plot after finishing it barely 30 seconds ago. The battles are grand enough in scale to suit the platform and nothing was too frustrating. On the easy side, just like TC44

A great battle to get one started as an XWA pilot, simple, not to complicated, and easily followed. Nice piece of work.

What kind of battle is that? In the first mission, you can seat in your armchair with a cup a coffee and the mission go without you very fine;the A/FRG Stormbringer can performe all the work for you, your rockets are inutil and this ship can make all the work, is a ship style super ISD"Super-Invincible". In the second mission ,is a history with a ATR(the only one I have saw was a Rebel one);enough...

Mission 3: Bonus goal impossible to complete as containers are set to self destruct as soon as the mission starts. Merciful spelled incorrectly.
Mission 4: Duplicate bonus goals appear for enemy genko ships.

Mission 1: bonus goal does not work correctly.
mission 2: multiple typos in briefing. factory 1 zegna, sat/1 GNKXS3Xv77 & the containers have duplicated bonus goals. Ships and stations do not fire upon each other despite being in range.

Description ----------- This mission is part of a series of free missions about each of the squadrons in the ASF doing missions following their squadron objective in their assigned craft. Each mission tries to give a feel and a bit of history of each of the Squadrons. All the storylines of the missions are interconnected and have the ASF Squadrons join together against a common foe. In storyline these happen after the larger Wing Battles. Its is a direct follow up on "ASF: Aggression". Story Line ---------- Mission 1: The NR-Spine Security Force patrols the Corellian Trade Spine continuously with medium sized starships outfitted with at least a squadron each. This way their leader, the Duke of Perlemian, tries to secure safety for the many trade vessels on the route he has been assigned by the NR Admirality on Coruscant. The TC-Aggressor Strike Force however is set on bringing the Duke into trouble with his superiours by sending in heavier starships outfitted with at least two but more often three squadrons to take out the NR-SSF patrols. TIE Corps command knows that nothing hurts the fragile New Republic more then the loss of ships. Now we have the NR-SSF Frigate Trustworthy facing off with the TC-ASF Dreadnaught Calidor. It seems like a made case for the bigger Calidor, but both sides still have a few tricks up their sleeves. ---------- Mission 2: Although their main System produce is olive oil, the Genkoans have always fancied themselves quite the weapons developers: they even competed with Incom and SFS when the Empire needed new equipment. However the bulky internally cooled ionengines that are the Genkoan trademark in craft design never caught on with the larger fleets in the Galaxy. This is why recently they have been working mostly on warhead development and production - something they've always found more customers for then for their fighters and cruisers. Its highly probable that many of the warheads you ever fired were made in the Genko System. Intel has discovered that the Genkoans are working on a new type of warhead that will blast away any form of shield - even planetary ones - in one salvo. This would destabilise the whole Galaxy and will certainly mean victory for whoever got their hands on it first. ---------- Mission 3: After we had captured the Genkoan warhead development factory, our specialists were able to determine that the Genkoans have no anti-shields warhead at all... But that they are working towards obtaining one from another system completely. This warhead has been a myth since the development of shields centuries back, when it was said that a System called Geonosis had developped such a weapon... And all we were able to get out of the Genkoan factory was that the Genkoans have found a hidden cache of Geonosis Technology. We will be going for this cache, which according to our data has been rigged with timed explosives so timing will be of the essence. Another thing to keep in mind is that by now we are not the only ones who know of this cache - and the whole Galaxy wants that warhead first. ---------- Mission 4: Under way to deliver the data discovered on the Geonosis warhead to Aurora Prime, the ESC Corrupter has been pulled out of hyperspace by a NR Spine Security Force Interdictor that was laying in wait near a small asteroidfield for just an ambush like this. This seem to be the last chance for the NR-SSF to stop these plans from going to the EH Science Office and they seem to be set on destruction now - rather destroying these valuable designs completely then letting them be put to use by the EH. The Corrupter is being besieged by three squadrons and a Strike Cruiser while the Interdictor stays in the cover provided by the asteroidfield. Both sides have also called in for reinforcements, which can arrive any moment now... NOTE ------------------- - You need the X-Wing Alliance retail CD with a 2.02 update to use this mission. - You need the S-Foils patch. - You need the Modified Strike Cruiser patch for XWA. - You need the Dreadnaught Mk.I patch for XWA. Other Information ----------------- - version 1: This is the First release. Bugs could arrise - please mail me if they do - also if you have hints, death threats, questions or apraisals. SINGLE PLAYER: These missions were made as Combat Missions, its goal is to be fair to both sides so they can be played instead of a regular melee.FL-SCOA-TCT-TCS/CM Ender mBind/Echo 2-1/Wing XV/ISD Vanguard - version 2: The original versions of these missions were released as (in battle order) XvTF113, XvTF117, XvTF107 and XvTF118. Besides that they were released too much out of order to make any sense as a continueing storyline it also appeared that not many people fly "Free's" and as such even noticed this "cut up battle" - while I think its not bad at all. As such I decided to re-release it more as a complete package now, about 3 years later, but this time for X-Wing Alliance. The original idea for the battle was to have a set of missions about the larger ASF escortships (VSD, INT, ESC, DREAD) focussed on becoming a equally balanced combat missions - meaning it could be played from both Rebel and Imperial side in XvT MP Combat. This means that each mission has about equal forces on both sides. To do this I ignored the official craft types of the ASF squadrons here and there. The squadrons used in each mision ARE connected to the ship in question though. I also aimed not to use any patches, as that is typically too much bother when doing MP. This means that the battle is low on craft types, since XvT doesn't have that many different craft standard. The battle has had a bit more updating then just the conversion from XvT to XWA, because I wanted to make use of the fuller options XWA offers me. However I did not just add XWA features for the heck of it, but tried to keep the feel of the original XvT-Free's - obviously I ignored the MP elements. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it this time. :) SCO-TCC:XW-TCT-TCS-PROF/FA Ender mBind/CS-10/SSSD Sovereign MoH/IC/GOE/MoSx2/GSx2/SSx8/BSx4/PCx7/ISMx17/MoI/MoT-53rh-64gh-10bh/ IS-1SR-4GR-2PR/LoC-TS-Rx1/DFC-Rx1/CoS/CoE/CoLx2/CoB/LoAx22/OV-5E [LGNR] {IWATS-AIM-CSS-GFX-ICQ-IIC/1/2/3-JS-M/1/2-MP-OPT-PHP-SM/2-TACS-TM/1-TT-XAM-XML-XTM/1/2-XTT}
