Very poorly balanced missions that have far too many enemy starfighters and some missions that are impossible to do on hard difficulty. Medium played like hard difficulty and I can only imagine how hard would play out. Some missions require you to protect your capital ship from the starfighters attacking it or you will fail, and they come from different angles within the same squadron. Recommended to be flown on easy or medium if you want a challenge.
The battle is somehow repetitive and tedious. The addition of its own wavpack and audible custom messages was a touch of originality, but quality of sound was poor and sometimes it was hard to understand the messages. The missions unfold in almost the same structure, always flying unshielded T/Bs and choice of weapons is very limited. All in all, it felt like it could have been an excellent battle with a decent plotline, where the effort was wasted in the audio files and not in the missions themselves. Tedious and somehow repetitive. Fly elsewhere.
A typical Ender battle, for good and bad. The missions are carefully designed at a technical level but missing some joy at the gameplay level, with inconsistent and inappropriate difficulties - generally, much too hard on easy. The T/B's strengths are few, and they're not always well showcased here with limited loadouts. Throughout there's a reliance on allies to clean up the things you're not given the firepower to destroy by yourself. Mostly frustrating.
The ultimate Tie Bomber battle. You'll even do a real surprise attack on a station. A must for everyone who loves to fly with no shields.
Great implementation of Tie Bomber craft. Mission is well written and gives u a sense of inmersion. I was rapidly reminded of the utter frailty of unshielded craft. Very challenging on Hard difficulty.

It is part of a series of battles about varied TC units and their squadron objectives. Story Line ---------- 1.Havok Squadron, 136th TIE Corps Squadron, of Wing XXI is based upon the ISDII Kawolski and its objective is Strike. Strike Squadrons attack and destroy all enemy craft (unless otherwise ordered). The VSD Retribution was attacked while escorting a Corporate Division convoy and its hyperdrive was damaged in the fight. Havok Squadron assisted Stelek Squadron and Pyr Squadron in protecting the Retribution while it was repaired in deep space. Stelek Squadron has gone after the assailants where as Havok and Pyr stayed with the Retribution, which has stopped over at a nearby CD factory to get fully repaired and restocked. During this operation Havok Squadron will fly cover while Pyr stays on standby. After all, the pirates that attacked before are still in the area and we have been on the tail of a weird Rebel plan for weeks. 2.The attack of the New Republic Spine Security Force on the CD factory that prints our newspapers seemed to be directed at replenishing the losses in printing ink Wing XXI has cost them lately... Still without actually explaining what they need it for. The fact that the VSD Retribution was there, with two TIE Corps squadrons seemed to be an unpleasant surprise for them - normally the CD factories are only lightly defended because deep in EH territory. It does raise the question again about why the NR-SSF has been collecting very unlikely resources lately, in large amounts. Across this Sector they have been collecting fertilizer, printing ink, tugs, T/V hyperdrives and paper... which just don't seem to make any sense. Using our deep space telescopes, we have found a cache of these goods however. And because the Rebels want them, Havok Squadron gets to destroy them. 3.The arrival of Genko fighters to help out the Rebels at that cache wasn't a big surprise: They seem to have been involved in this mysterious project since the start. They even attacked Renegade Squadron with souped up Tugs! And now the NR-SSF seems to have picked that up as well... They must have a lot of tugs. The attack did offer us some useful information however. From the material that Zulu Squadron obtained at the cache, we were able to deduct where the goods were supposed to be brought: a rendezvous point with a combined NR-SSF and Genko convoy, heading probably to the Jackpot: wherever this strange "printing ink project" is taking place. We will "replace" this convoy with one of our own covered up to look like this one. This replacement convoy will then be able to sneak into where it is supposed to go. To this end we need to capture a craft of the convoy and utterly destroy the rest - without any word getting out. 4.We didn't succeed in keeping everything quiet on our last mission, but that doesn't mean the plan can't continue: We got the destination after all. We will be sending in a damaged version of the convoy, "fleeing" from the forces of the Empire. With a bit of luck the destination IS the Jackpot and we can finally close this whole case up. The Science Office has modified a regular bulk freighter to be able to hold and launch TIE Bombers, much like the private craft of the Science Officer himself. It will be part of the fleeing convoy, followed closely by a full scale attack by the VSD Retribution. As the Rebels defend themselves from the Retribution, they will let the convoy within their defences - enabling Havok Squadron to jump out of the freighter and start their strike from behind enemy defences, basically attacking them in the rear. It is a risky plan, but it should work. NOTE ------------------- You need XvT with EHSP (or at least all the ships involved there) AND the IES and PES Patches. To fly as a team all players need the same version, make sure you all have the update by lucasarts installed. Other Information ----------------- This is the First release of a quickly made battle.
