An engaging storyline across nine enjoyable missions, with large fleet engagements ! This XvT battle has the rare honor of not being an absolute nonsense nightmare on Hard.
My hundred and sixteenth battle in the TIE Corps.
Enjoyed this battle! Always great to play as a pilot on the ISD Challenge.
Well made and interesting story for what was an interesting time.
Loved seeing my cameo and a lot of old names.
I love that it takes real-world events and fictionalizes them into a battle. I wish there were more battles out there that did the same!
It's pretty well balanced, good challenge, good sense of jeopardy in most missions. It's probably longer than it needs to be, and it does have some technical flubs here and there that makes it less than perfect. But it's very solid and I appreciate the plot. Well done!
A long battle featuring the best ship in the fleet (I'm biased). I find it an extra layer of challenge when the enemy uses combined Imperial and Republic ships, as it makes it harder to identify friends and enemies by sight, and there was a fair bit of that in this battle.
A battle with potential to be good. On the 4th mission it was endless enemies and mines. On the final mission I got some kind of error where my transports wouldn't show up to capture. Very frustrating to dump a bunch of time in for the mission to be off.
I played on Easy. This battle doesn't know if it wants to be long or short. Unfortunately, the long battles are typically only long because they throw hoards of starfighters at you. There was also a fair amount of waiting around for stuff to happen. I don't need to sit around for almost 3 minutes before the mission truly starts!
A fairly interesting battle, not overly taxing but it does involve a fair bit of dogfighting against alphabet fighters and older models such as Z-95s. A firm 4 in my books for its decent plot and good balance of action.
I kind of liked this one. It is not anything special but there isn't much wrong with it either. I hope at some point to refly it under a different set of circumstances. The storyline is ok, the briefing a bit lazy ;) but overall the missions themselves turned out ok. The last two missions are a bit longer than what most people desire.
This one is long, but with a gripping plotline that deserves to be flown. You will encounter all kinds of enemies and the dogfighting is epic and well balanced. Chasing down traitors has become a recurrent issue amongst the imperial servicemen, but this one is special, as the story behind it touches all EH pilots who lived in the old days. An amazing battle that deserves to be played even if a bit long. You won't regret it
I was hoping the story was a little more present in these missions because I like learning about the history of the TIE Corps. Then again, I’m SPAMming through them, so maybe that’s not the best way to learn history. Nevertheless, the missions were pretty coherent, and Frey Gallandro did a nice job making sure your flight group’s role made sense in the overall scope of each mission.
well a good one
A nice set of missions, which are rather too easy at times. If you are newbe to XvT this battle would be a good first choice.

All bugs verified as well.
M3 - own mothership.
Prevent goals in all missions need review.
Most likely set incorrectly as Locke mentioned.
M6
Need to review orders.
Capture craft needs to have a prevent destruction goal
Fast Track for TAC office repair.

Can verify all the bugs posted here. Another example of something similar - the Challenge can be destroyed in Mission 3 without failure, which I don't believe is what's intended (global goal condition to prevent Chal and INT from being destroyed needs to be set to OR rather than AND)
This is a bug throughout the battle. Saw the same stuff as reported in mission 6. I would definitely argue it's not intentional, as in that case, not having those ships there could potentially cause soft lock (no mothership to launch capture transports)

I think that in mission 3, you're your own mothership. Aaaawkwaaaard.

Mission 8: Losing friendly capital ships does not trigger mission failure per objectives list.

Mission 2: Enemy GUNs launch from the ISD Challenge.
Mission 6: Friendly craft disable the Golan I again after it has been captured.
