Fun bombing mission. I played in a GUN, which was okay, but I think I'll try a MIS next time around. The AI on the enemy fighters was good, and even on easy, you have to watch yourself, and this really made the mission for me. Worth a fly-through of your time!
I don't actually mind flying the missile boat, it's when you don't have anyone to help you with the fighters harassing you that it becomes a problem. Easy, straight-forward mission, but with the caveat that there are a lot of cap ships to take down. Stock up on heavy ordinance before taking off. Played on easy.
I opted with the Missile Boat for this mission and by Palpatine, that was a good decision. My rockets and those of my wingmen made it so quick to melt through the butter of the hulls of the Mon Cal Cruiser and Light Mon Cal Cruiser, then a few rockets for each of the freighters and boom the mission was over. Lots of explosions in a short amount of time. Win!
I played on Easy. The only thing that caused me an issue was the enemy starfighter AI. They're smarter than they normally are. Otherwise, you have unlimited Rockets and you just melt some capital ships.
Is it a good mission? No. Is it a smart mission? Is it a fun mission? Yes. Feel free to fly it if you enjoy going ham with a missile boat. :)
Fast and simple. An entertaining bombing run mission on several cruisers and freighters. Choose a MIS or a GUN as your weapon of choice, each having its advantages. Worth a try if you like quick bombing missions.
An interesting Free mission if you have the time to fly.
