"The Empire's Wrath"
Double Elimination Knockout Tournament
The Combat Operation Officer himself has set a mandate to find the Empire's finest single combat pilot, to take them on as his own personal elite pilot; to exact his will and vengeance with extreme prejudice. The task was set to the Tie Fighter Corps to identify this individual through competitive merit and thus formed the TC's elite knockout tournament. Though many skilled pilots reside within the TC's ranks, there can be only one pilot, who through their own martial prowess will be bestowed the title "The Empire's Wrath".
Tournament details:
Game: Xwing vs Tie Fighter
Ship: Tie Interceptor
Format: 10/10 - 10 minutes on each host per round.
Submissions in ships other than TI will be counted as a loss for both parties.
Killing the Nav Buoy is not acceptable and will set your kill count for that match to 0.
The honour system is in play. Evading fights to maintain a lead is not acceptable. First report of this will be an issued warning, second report will be reviewed, and cowards will be executed (disqualified from the tournament).
Each tournament round will strictly last no longer than 1 week. Exceptions for extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Unreported rounds will count as a loss for both parties, unless proof can be shown that only 1 participant was not available, in which case a BYE may be given to the available participant.
Through double elimination format, every pilot will have at least two matches to play in the tournament, minimum.
Tournament tracking:
To create the brackets I intend on using the Challonge tournament platform to keep track of results submitted - the following url is an example of a test tournament I've configfured for 16 players on the platform: https://challonge.com/32qn4uy2. This is a fairly powerful platform for managing tournaments and can be configured for web-signups, however I elect to manage this manually as it means no one will require to signup to an external service. To create the initial bracket matchups, I will conduct a live draw on discord voice chat sharing my screen to this site: https://anero.id/knockout-draw-generator/ - I'll input all signup names in here and shuffle 10 times.
I will be updating the brackets manually as I receive the results. I'll ask for results to be emailed to me in addition to submitted for LoC's so that LoC processing doesn't need to be held up for the tournament results. Normal submission rules apply and both ship setup and score screen required.

Tournament winner - As a special event the winner will be honoured with the title "The Empire's Wrath" - this title will be visible on discord for a month after the tournament ends and noted in record. They will also be awarded with an IS-GW.

Tournament Quarter-Finalists: IS-BW
These awards will be reviewed and potentially upgraded if there is a large number of signups.
Competition runtime starts on the first day at 00:00:01 UTC, and ends on the last day at 23:59:59 UTC.
