SQUADRON STATUS: Being awesome and stuff
NEWS

The TAC has launched two competitions to celebrate the re-releases of X-Wing and TIE Fighter! Starting in January, we're flying each Tour and Battle from both game, with completion rewards and awards for high scores. Should be fun! I've been wanting to play the original stories again, this is a good reason to finally get started.

Also starting in January is a ship competition of some kind. Should be fun to see what the COM comes up with!

Last week, I neglected to report that CM Yun's combat rating increased to Marksman 1st. Nice job, Yun!

The Sinner's Delight awards this week went to CM Nolij for both SP and MP! Outstanding, Commander!
OPEN COMPETITIONS
The Competitions Center and Combat Center on the TIE Corps site can provide all the details for each competition. In my reports, I'll just be listing short summaries of each open competition that are open to Sin pilots.
  1. Kappa Tale of the Winter: Best winter-themed story wins stuff! (Whole TC, 2662)

  2. Kappa Snowflake Banner: Best Christmas or winter-themed banner for Kappa Squadron wins stuff! (Whole TC, 2661)

  3. Sinner's Delight - SP: The pilot with the most SP missions flown at the end of each week (Tuesday-Monday) will earn an IS-BW! (Sin, 2607)

  4. Sinner's Delight - MP: The pilot that earns the most LoCs each week (Tuesday-Monday) will win an IS-BW! (Sin, 2608)

  5. If you finish an SC PvP match in Domination or Team Battle mode with a lot of kills, send that over to the COO and SOO (Whole TC, 77)

  6. Along with the usual Medal of Instruction, recruiting pilots to the TIE Corps has been incentivized until the end of the year: Top three recruiters win Iron Stars! (Whole TC, 2632)

  7. Warrior Trivia: Answer five trivia questions each week. Very small time requirement! (Warrior, 2623)

  8. MP Ace of the TIE Corps (Whole TC, 2501)

  10. One Word Run-On: Over on the message board, we're doing a one-word-at-a-time story. Highest participation earns rewards! (Whole TC, 2637)

CLOSING THOUGHTS
The COM wrote a bit about having activity slow down for the holidays, which seems to be spot on. Things will be picking back up once the new year begins, though, starting with some new competitions for January and just about all of the remaining competitions from 2014 being up for renewal (or changes!).
