Gents,

We had another active week with some nice events here on the mighty flagship.

First, let's officially congratulate Captain Repulsor on his ascension to the position of Kappa Commander. He's already started two fleet wide comps, a Kappa comp, and Tempest said he likes him, so he's clearly on top of things. Keep it up Rep!

Welcome aboard CM Zeke Freeman who joins us on the Warrior in Sigma Squadron. We look forward to seeing you in action.

Unfortunate news. I am no longer the ultimate low scoring champion of the TIE Corps. Since 2009 I've held the title of TIE Golf champion, and now, it belongs to LC Plif. Congratulations on your IS-PW.

The good news is that the competition is finally over and that we can get back to business. I've decided, due to our current proximity to the holiday season, to not host any competitions until the new year... Where I have something special in store for all of you. Mwahahahahahahaah!

There is a fleet wide Pazaak tournament going on, courtesy of our COO, should you need something to keep you busy until then! Other than Warrior trivia of course... Which I hear is getting harder and harder!

Also, well done to CM Nolij on being awarded the coveted DFC! These are rare and important achievements.

Q1: Colonel, now that we have all our Commander positions filled, do you have anything in store for us?

A1: Not specifically, have you any idea how much work it is for me to break in new Commanders? The paperwork is almost always all wrong. Date formats are backwards, decimals used instead of fractions or percentages! THE WORST. I once saw a Commander use the WRONG WING II STATIONARY ON A REPORT!

Q2: Err... Okay. What about the competition the Commodore has in store for us in January? Are you in on that?

A2: Unfortunately I am not. Last time he expected me to keep a secret, I had to go buy farm animals. My life will never be the same. We decided it was better for us all to keep me in the dark as much as possible. The last thing we want is for me to go off on a speculative tangent in order to confuse you.

Q3: Fair enough. Have you found a new chef yet?

A3: I was going to hire CM Starfire, but he didn't have what it takes. There was milk in everything... I have therefore taken it upon myself, despite my immense workload, to serve as head chef until a replacement can be found. But you already know this... Have you not noticed the impressive increase in food quality at the mess lately?

Conclusion

Things are on the upswing going into the holiday season. Naturally in the upcoming weeks we'll see things drop off a bit as we will more than likely focus on e-mail activity and our families. That's no reason to drop out of contact with your commander! Frown hates it when there's no contact!
