WEEKLY HAMMER COMMODORE REPORT
WEEKLY HAMMER COMMODORE REPORT #34
TO: TCCOM HA Daniel Bonini
FROM: Hammer COM VA Elwood the Brave
DATE SUBMITED: 29th November 2014
OVERVIEW
Good News and bad News this week.

Bad News first. After a heavy fight of words over the TC mailing list Alpha CMDR MAJ Landon Cruise decided to step down as Alpha CMDR and transfer to the RSVs together with his RL brother COL Jacob Van Nowak. You'll both be heavily missed so come back soon!

Another bad News is the fact that CPT Nutrientman has been removed from his interim Beta CMDR spot and been placed in Delta 1-2 as FM.

Where there is shadow there also has to be light. This comes in form of 2 new CMDRs for Alpha and Beta. MAJ Delak Krennel has taken over Alpha and COL Alexander Almasy took over Beta. Congratulations to the both of you for your positional promotions and I am sure you'll both do a hell of a job!

The Hammer Training Exercise #1 has ended today. Results can be found in the competitions section of this report. Congratulations to GN Anahorn Dempsey for gaining nearly all awards up for grap in this competition!

TC COMPETITIONS
Ace of the TC
Each mission flown earns you a point for the competitions. Whoever scores most points win. Each mission only counts once. The numbers on the KillBoard at the end of the month are the numbers that are tallied, missions not yet processed will count towards the next month. IS-GW/SW/BW monthly for the top 3 pilots on the website's Kill Board - IS-PW/GW/SW/BW for the top 4 pilots at the end of the year.

MP Ace of the TC
The MP Kill Board will be used to keep track of points. Each LoC earns you a point for the competition, and a DFC counts for 5 points. Whoever scores most points win. The numbers on the MP KillBoard at the end of the month are the numbers that are tallied. If there are three participants then IS-GW/SW/BW, if only two IS-SW/BW, etc. XWA, XvT, Star Conflict, and Freelancer-Freeworlds are the authorized platforms for this competition.

HAMMER COMPETITIONS
HoP - Hammer on Patrol - ISD II Hammer wide
Each Saturday in my report I will announce 1 Free mission or battle for TIE, XvT and XWA. Every pilot of the ISD II Hammer then has until the following Saturday, 08:00 GMT to forward me their bsf-mail for those missions/battles. IS-SW for highest score, IS-BW for second for each game platform each week (laserless scoring for TIE as usual). In addition to that participants accumulate points for their weekly participation. 1st receives 4 points, 2nd 3 points, 3rd 2 points and all others 1 point. Highscores gain you a bonus point (only one bonus point for the one holding the HS for the mission or the whole battle with his submission by the end of the week, not for those that might beat the actual HS during the week and get beaten again before the week ends). The points for all platforms will be counted together for the monthly rewards for this competition. So the more platforms you participate in, the higher your points. On last Saturday of each month the one with the most points will be awarded an IS-GW, second an IS-SW and third an IS-BW.

In case your CMDR or MSS TAC were unable to get the bsf-procedure for your submission done in time (before Saturday 08:00 GMT) send me your pilot file(s) and I'll delay the announcement of the results for the week until all bsf-mails reached my inbox. Results will always be covered in my WSR, just like the new missions/battles for the following week.

In case I received pilot files from less then 5 pilots or less then 2 different squadrons during one month, the monthly awards for this month will be lowered to IS-SW/BW for 1st/2nd.

For every pilot file submited that doesn't qualify for one of the weekly medals each pilot earns himself an "activity point" ( Max. 1 point per platform per week). Each time a pilot reaches 8 activity points he'll receive an IS-BW. Each time a pilot earns himself one of the other medals given out for the HoP competition (no matter if weekly or monthly awards) the activity points counter will be reset to zero.

Results for last week

1st GN Anahorn Dempsey (25,140) IS-SW

HoR - Hammer on Recon - ISD II Hammer wide
This competition is split up into multiple parts, all based on Star Conflict Multiplayer matches. The different weekly parts are split up based on the different match types SC is offering. As not everyone is elligible for the higher T's in SC yet, only the match types Domination and Team Battle will be used for this competition.

In Domination the player with most captured Beacons will be the weekly winner. In Team battle the one with most kills in a match will be the winner.

For the monthly part of the HoR competition a points system will be used. For each victory in one of the weekly sections of this competition the winner will gain 4 points, second gains 3, 3rd gains 2 and every other participant gains 1 point. Those points will be added up until the last weekly COM report of a month and then the monthly winner will be announced based on those points. IS-GW/IS-SW/IS-BW for 1st, 2nd and 3rd based on the points earned (points from both match types added together for the monthly part!).

Every participating pilot that isn't eligible for a medal reward from this competition earns himself an HoR-activity point for each match type he participated in per week. Once a pilot has accumulated 8 activity points he will be rewarded with an IS-BW for his activity points. If a pilot that has activity points accumulated earns himself a medal from this competition before he accumulated 8 points his activity points will be reduced to zero again.

To make a match count for this competition screenshots of the matches need to be send to me at markus@friebis.net. Only one submission per week, match type and pilot will count, even though you might send me multiple screenshots in case you manage to gain more kills/captures during a week then you've had in the first submission. Only screenshots for victories are allowed!

If you want to earn yourself some LoC's in addition to participating in this competition your screenshots still need to be submited through the TC database by one of the EH/TC members participating in that match separately as submitting for this competition won't do the trick.

Everyone that wants to participate in this competition needs to submit screenshots himself. If in one match 2 ISD II Hammer pilots participated and want a screenshot for that match to count for this competition they BOTH need to send me their screenshots!

If the COO is running competitions for SC MP matches with gamemodes used in this competition, screenshots for gamemodes used by COO competitions won't count for this competition to prevent double rewards. In this case I will announce the gamemodes and the timeframe during which those don't count for HoR by mail over the Hammer mailing list.

Results for last week
Domination:
1st MAJ Landon Cruise (6 captures) IS-SW
2nd GN Anahorn Dempsey (5 captures) IS-BW

Team Battle:
1st GN Anahorn Dempsey (17 kills) IS-BW

final monthly standings - November:
MAJ Landon Cruise 18 points IS-GW
GN Dunta Polo 8 points IS-SW
GN Anahorn Dempsey 5 points IS-BW

HSotM - Hammer Student of the Month - Wing I wide
Education is the basis of success. And we already have the key for that success lying on our EH.org server, the Imperial University and Imperial Weapons and Tacticts School. So from now on every Hammer member that sucesscully takes one of the IU/IWATS courses earns himself one point for this competition. A perfect score for a course is worth an additional bonus point. The Hammer member with most points at the end of the month is declared "Hammer student of the month" for that month and is allowed to wear this titel as part of his ID-Line. Depending on participation there will be different IS given out. If there are more then 3 participants, the first 3 will earn IS-GR - IS SR - IS-BR, if there are 3 or less participants there will be only IS-SR and IS-BR up for the first 2.

To make sur your courses count toward this competition you have to forward me your graduation mail to my inbox.

Hammer training exercise number one - Wing I wide
The crew of the ISD II Hammer will engage in multiple SP, MP and fiction training exercises during November to find out who’s the best squadron and pilot aboard the ISD II Hammer.

The SP engagements will be split up into missions for each of the 4 TC supported SW flight sims each week (TIE, XvT, BoP and XWA). For each platform there will be one mission to be flown by each member. In my reports each Saturday I will announce the missions and the members participating have until midnight UTC/GMT of the following Friday to submit their pilot files to their CMDR’s cc’ing me (markus@friebis.net). Winner for each platform and week will be the one that got the closest to my score. My own score for each mission will be announced together with the mission in my reports.

The one closest to my score for each game platform and week will earn himself an IS-SW together with 10 SP points for him and his squadron. Second closest will gain an IS-BW and 9 points, third 8 points, and so forth down to 1 point for everyone after the 9th closest pilot.

Every pilot that flies all missions of the week and submits his 4 pilot files will earn himself an IS-BW for participation.

The SP points earned will be summed up. At the end of the competition the one with most accumulated points will be the winner of the SP training exercise and earn himself an IS-GW, second best will gain an IS-SW, third an IS-BW.

The Squadron with most accumulated points at the end of the competition is declared the COM’s escort Squadron until the end of a possible next Hammer training exercise. Each of its participating pilots gains the right to add “Hammer COM escort 2014/2015” to their ID-line.

The MP engagements will also be on a weekly basis and all around SC MP matches, no matter the game mode or tier. The most important aspect for this training exercises will be the number of assists. If a pilot has a screen shot that has a high number of assists during a victorious MP SC match he can submit it to my inbox (markus@friebis.net). Only one screen shot for each pilot and week allowed. The Pilot with most assists on his submitted screen shot at the end of the week will earn himself an IS-SW and 10 MP points for the week. Second best will earn himself an IS-BW and 9 points, third earns himself 8 points and so forth down to 1 point for everyone after the 9th best pilot. In case of a TIE in assists EFF will be taken to decide the better pilot. The screen shots for one week need to arrive in my inbox no later then midnight UTC/GMT on Fridays. Every screenshot arriving after that deadline will be counted for the following week.

In order to gain LoCs for the submitted screen shots those need to be also submitted to the database through the normal database function. There won’t be any LoCs rewarded for screen shots submitted for this comp to my inbox without being submitted through the database also. I won’t take care of doing this.

Each pilot needs to send in his own screen shots for this competition to my inbox, even if someone else already send me a screen shot for the same match.

The MP points earned will be summed up. At the end of the competition the one with most accumulated points will be the winner of the MP training exercise and earn himself an IS-GW, second best will gain an IS-SW, third an IS-BW.

The Squadron with most accumulated MP points at the end of the competition is declared the Hammer’s Reconnaissance Squadron until the end of a possible next Hammer training exercise. Each of its participating pilots gains the right to add “Hammer Reconnaissance Team 2014/2015” to their ID-line.

The fiction exercise will be about writing a fiction of at least 2 pages in TNR12 about a subject I will announce in my reports each week. Every pilot of the Hammer then has until midnight UTC/GMT of the following Friday to submit his fiction to my inbox (markus@friebis.net). The fictions will then be graded by me. Just like the SP and MP part there will be 1 to 10 points for the fictions, while the best will earn his writer 10 fiction points and an IS-SR, the second will get 9 fiction points and an IS-BR, third will gain 8 points, and so forth down to 1 point for each submission placed 10 or below.

The fiction points earned will be summed up. At the end of the competition the one with most accumulated points will be the winner of the fiction training exercise and earn himself an IS-GR, second best will gain an IS-SR, third an IS-BR.

The Squadron with most accumulated fiction points at the end of the competition is declared the Hammer’s Diplomacy Squadron until the end of a possible next Hammer training exercise. Each of its participating pilots gains the right to add “Hammer Diplomacy Team 2014/2015” to their ID-line.

At the end of the competition the CMDR of the squadron that had the highest participation rate (number of submissions divided through the number of pilots in the squadron) will earn an IS-SW, the CMDR of the squadron with the second highest participation rate will earn an IS-BW for the flying comps. Or the fiction part it will be IS-SR for the CMDR of the squadron with the highest participation and IS-BR for the CMDR of the squadron with second highest participation.

2nd Alpha squadron (3 submissions/12 pilots)
3rd Epsilon squadron (1 submission/12 pilots)

ORDERS
1.) Contact your CMDR and/or FL at least once a week and report all your activities to them.
2.) Keep activity on good level (IU/IWATS, flying or anything you can do). This club is about activity and fun, not just boring hang around.
3.) Participate in Competitions! Those are designed and run to give YOU something to have fun with.
4.) Communicate! Communication is the basis of everything we do! Without communication, no community, no fun!
FINAL WORDS

HTE ended in a damn low participation. HoP and HoR don't have more participation lately. Still I will discontinue to participate in those comps as it did lead to more discussion then I thought. This will definetly lead to lower rewards for those comps until more people participate.

respectfully submitted
