Beta Squadron Weekly Report NM #1

So this is my first of what will likely be many squadron reports. To introduce myself, I am CPT/RA Nutrientman. I have been a member since 2004, and in another lifetime I commanded Krayt Squadron aboard the ISDII Intrepid. I have been less of an active pilot recently, instead concentrating on making myself useful to the TAC and and Science Offices. A few months ago I embarked upon the project of making every custom X-wing Allinace battle compatible with modern operating systems (Win Vista x64, Win 7 x64, Linux), and to that end I have succeded, with one exception XWATC56 which kicked my ass. I'm working on making my first custom OPT, the first non-Ender non-Den in a long time!

I have introduced one competition this week, Beta's IRC Tag, see below for details. In the coming week I plan to introduce two more flying comps for the squadron. There is plenty to do to earn medals here folks, I'm hoping that you all take advantage and pick some up.

I think that my commanding the Beta squadron is fitting. I am hereby putting out the call to have anyone from the squadron who wants to test some of my new creations. I have made several modified Linux variations which include full support for XWA, XVT/BOP, and TIE!! They work great on my computers, I'm interested to know how they'll do on yours.

LC Kroan, I'm calling you out directly. Can I persuade you to step up to flight leader of Flight 2?

Closing Remarks:

For Victory!

So the question is whether or not this was a good decision to step in and take command of Beta. I think in the long run that I'll have grown for the experience, and I hopefully will have inspired you all to do something more with the club. To that end, I encourage you to keep in regular contact with me, I can assist in several ways.

FYI, in real life I ejoy my career as an analyst studying TV. To that end, if you need any data for a paper or presentation, let me know.

Now it's time to distribute hot beef, good night.

In Closing: Go fly something!!
