A flurry of medal notifications have landed in my inbox which is a distinct pleasure to see, representing the last several months of missing MoCs delivered en masse. Its always a pleasure to see these as it simply means the squadron is talking and communicating, which in my book will always come first - I'd rather have you all talking than just one of you flying, at the end of the day this is a social club as much as it is a gaming opportunity.

Speaking of gaming, it will surprise none of you to learn that I still have no internet and am once again relying on using a work computer while no-one is paying attention! In the 21st century its interesting to note the way that everything is predicated on internet accessibility and equally infuriating to see a house less than 50m away enjoying full and tangible (password protected) wi-fi. Suffice to say I am restricted yet again in availability to indulge in my SC and am not looking forward to the quantity of updates I'm liable to expect when I finally regain access...

Onto the wider squadron, the MSE was dispatched at the weekend to the COM and onwards for the TCCOMs approval - better late than never being this weeks sentiment. From that I am pleased to note the award of an ISM to MAJ Caine for his excellent start to his time with us here in Theta. I will always reward activity as far as possible and it's good to award a non-MoC for the first time in a while - with RtF a distant memory I think we here at Theta remain sat on our laurels and hopefully this fugue state will dissipate sooner rather than later. That being said as long as I am failing to practice what I preach I can hardly assume you to do likewise. Mea culpa.

Warrior Trivia continues under the stewardship of MAJ Plif who continues to excel, while TIE Golf should be presently underway - by my estimate the first hole/round should be completed tomorrow. Theta squad comps will follow soon with a MB run-on and others to appear...

Operational Picture

...excess signal traffic again, it's overloading one of the secondary processors. Try and damp it down, its using older codes, but they check out. Some form of CS level carrier wave, thats odd... we haven't had a Comms Officer onboard for a while have we? No not that Commander who lives over the top of the bridge, the shinier one, the fleet's Comms Officer. No, not the Logistics Officer - the other, other Admiral who... I give up, I don't know what they do anyway - I always assumed our Lords and Masters in the Command Staff just played golf, drank shots off nubile dancing girls and issued hilariously complicated orders...

...has anyone seen my squadron, I've been on leave for less than 10 days and returned to find them "on a mission" that no-one appears to have authorised. Which is odd as I can see II and III flights craft there in the corner of the hangar. If I was a suspicious man the fact that I can't see my shuttle would lead me to guess, wildly of course, that they've all gone to "investigate" reports of... let me guess, rife gambling, illegal black-market trading, grossly indecent dancing and the like at some local dive in that last system we passed through? Silence? I thought so. Log them as officially following my orders and log my own flight plan - we'll be back in 24 hours when I drag them here kicking and screaming... I'll be taking the WCs shuttle incidentally, as well as a half dozen provosts and med-techs...
