This is Delta squadron weekly report #91.
I won't bore you again with complaints about AWOL pilots. Out of the non active pilots, so far 2 have responded, the rest, well, I fear we shall lose
them shortly.
On to the good news: this week, Delta squadron grabbed ALL medals in the Hammer on Patrol
competition. We may not have a lot of flying pilots, but we know how to fly! I got first place in all three (yet again), while LT
Nylan bagged 2nd in the TIE and XWA sections, and MAJ Clark garbbed 2nd in the XvT. And with that, July ends, and the top pilots on the
ISD Hammer for this month have been announced. I'm glad to say I got first place (who's going to challenge me next month....)
with LT Nylan grabbing 3rd place. An excellent showing, and good for no less than 9 medals this week for us! And also: LT Benjo
has also returned to activity and earned himself several Legions of Combat!
More good news: though not a rank promotion, LT Nylan increased his FCHG points count with enough points to advance in the
Fleet Commander's Honor Guard He is now a Gallant. Congrats, sir!
Well, you can add a 10th medal for Delta Squadron since MAJ Clark ruled the trivia once again. Congrats! Unfortunately,
that means you won't be eligible to win next month since you hit three in a row again.... And if I see correctly, we can add an 11th as well since my
MP activity this month has earned me Hammer's Pilot of the Month.
Alas, there's also bad news: the e-mail system on the server seems to really not like us. I've not received several LoC-e-mails for myself, I only received
ONE for LT Benjo, even though he earned more, and I'm pretty sure I m issed a few medal e-mails. Also, the COM didn't receive several BSF e-mails. So all
pilots: check to see if your activity log in this report reflects all you did!
For those MP pilots - The Hammer on Patrol competition will be continued on the SP front, but now also a spin-off on the
MP front: Hammer on Recon! Every week, the pilot who grabs most beacons in a single match (Domination match) wins, and
the same goes for the pilot with the most kills in a single match (Team Battle match) wins. There's also a monthly structure similar to the Hammer on Patrol.
I don't know about you, but I submitted my first screenshot of a match I flew yesterday. The game is on!
With that, I am not following our COM. HoP for July has ended, since his next report will be in August. For Delta squadron however, July will end with my
next report, next August the 3rd. So any activity you have in the coming week will still count for July.
Competition wise, two new squadron competitions have been approved by the SOO. See the competitions section below for details.
I do admit I was negligent, I completely forgot to announce the fiction competition, Delta's Spice Run. As such, the start date
is now, and the submission date has been extended until August 11th.
The Delta's Top Ace competition will kick off on Friday (August 1st) and run for three months, with monthly winners.
ALL activity will count for this competition, so let's see what we can do. If your entry for Delta's Spice Run is received on
or after August 1st, it too will count :)
