TIE Corps Command Report
Weekly Report #57 – Submission date: April 13th 2014
Introduction

Greetings,

The opening a second ship is already reaching its desired effect, as a number of competitions have already been created in both ships, thus promoting activity even more and placing another level of comps for pilots to be a part of, and for the CMDRs to take part too, other than organizing their own competitions. Congrats to the Commodores on a great start!

Of course, fleet wide competitions will always have their place amongst the others, but these are meant to be more complex competitions like Raise the Flag, which is in the plans for following months, with a starting date yet to be determined.

Actually, there has been another ship opened this week, but only for a couple of officers. Along with the rest of the TC Admiralty and the new Ship Commodores, we have decided that for fairness purpose the TC Admiralty is to be placed in neither the Hammer nor the Warrior. So, both me and RA Zósite have moved to a different ship, and with the SSSD Sovereign being currently used for recreational purposes, we decided to go to a familiar place, the ISD-II Challenge. There, we will maintain our fixed offices and lead the fleet, although both the Hammer and the Warrior will be able to yield the flagship title for Raise the Flag victory. This is also a measure to allow the Ship Commodores to be the most high-ranking officers aboard their ships. The COO will remain non the VSD Aggressor. Check our ID lines or our database profiles to see the changes.

Following the ISD Warrior, the Hammer Commodore has also opened the position of Alpha Squadron Commander to applications, thus choosing Alpha as the possible squadron to be opened on Wing I. Applications go to RA Elwood!

There was a change in Flight 2 Leader position on Sigma Squadron. LC Michael Emrys stepped down and moved to Flight 3, being replaced by CPT Crix Talra, who is now the new Sigma Flight 2 Leader! Thank you, Emrys, for all your efforts, and congrats to Crix!

Again, we saw the arrival of a new member this week. CT Simomime completed his training in M/PLT Daedalus, getting his promotion to Sub-Lieutenant, joined Delta Squadron, and already got his promotion to Lieutenant for earning LoCs in Star Conflict. Welcome to the fleet, LT Simomime, and congratulations on the promotions! For bringing him to the TIE Corps, LCM Landon Cruise was awarded the Medal of Instruction. Congratulations!

For a couple days, Delta Squadron was full once again, with 12 pilots. However, CPT Ras Kronar has decided to leave for the M/FRG Phoenix. Good luck to him!

We are still expecting the IO to open the necessary units in the EH database so I can update its roster. Hopefully it will happen soon. Until then, ISD Warrior members please inform all your chain of command of whatever IU courses taken, so your activity can be tracked and dully rewarded.

And... the possibility of all an IS-PR! Depending on the overall quality of submissions and that of the winner one compared to the rest of them.
Description: So the TIE Corps website doesn't seem to have the classic 'About us...' section up there for people to realize what we really are and what's this pseudo-military madness all about. And I've heard some officers from our current membership complaining that such situation could be driving potential new recruits back in panic thinking we're gonna eat their democratic souls or something, then forcing them to play games meant to be played only by lifeless beings who lost their twenties long ago. And hell... I think they're damn right.

Therefore, and in order for such an important issue on our recruiting efforts to be addressed ASAP, your most dreaded SOO has decided to set up an official competition for you to be able to contribute with what may perfectly be the best thing you'll ever do for the Fleet as a whole out of your own performance as pilots and commanding officers.

ALL current members of the TIE Corps are hereby called to participate by submitting their own versions of an eventual 'About us' section, which will become the main page to be accessed instead the news one. All submissions must use HTML standard code and are expected to include pics, logos, links, EH/TC history, game platforms we use, maybe a few lines on usual Fleet procedures... Everything you may consider important enough to the point of motivating slightly interested people into becoming our new cadets (without boring them to suicidal levels). Please include the HTML file itself and all pics using the intended resolution on a ZIP file, then send it by e-mail to ALL members of the TIE Corps Admiralty (TCCOM, SOO and COO). And try for all your content to fit on a 750px wide table (including margins). Apart from that you should try to follow current TC site layout as much as possible, and know that your submission may be modified as necessary by site admin. (that would be the aforementioned dreaded SOO) for it to better fit current content.

Nothing else to say except that we're obviously expecting top-quality submissions as befitting our great Fleet, as much as to be judged as worthy contenders for no less than a Platinum Ribbon! Please try to understand this task is of utmost important for us all, hence the quality we're asking for and our confidence in your skills to fulfill our requirements.

Have a great week!
