Epsilon Squadron Weekly Report – 27th January 2014


CMDR-TCS-PROF/COL Dunta Polo reporting in for Epsilon squadron.

Squadron activity was not as high as it could be, but half of the unit was active in some form this week. LC Gyssler continued his run of victories in Star Conflict, adding one more to his impressive total. LT Renalds has settled in well as Flight III Leader, maintaining regular communication and participating in a range of activities since his arrival.

COL Zosite K Styles replaces the outgoing Jarek La’an as Strategic Operations Officer, which I believe is an excellent choice to reinvigorate the TIE Corps. Several promotions and another arrival to the wing, along with a very busy mailing list bode well for the future.

Zosite K Styles was appointed the new Strategic Operations Officer after Jarek La'an stepped down.



Wing I News

Gamma squadron CMDR Elwood the Brave was promoted to the rank of Colonel.

Commander Repulsor joined Gamma squadron.

Beta squadron CMDR Kyle Kroan was promoted to the rank of Major.

Lt Upsidexumop of Beta squadron was promoted to the rank of Lt Commander.

Competitions

1) Ace of the TIE Corps

Start Date: January 1, 2014
End Date: December 31, 2014
Groups involved: Entire TC
Awards: IS-GW/SW/BW monthly. IS-PW/GW/SW/BW at the end of the year.
Description: As always: every SP mission flown wins a point, whoever has most points at the end of the month wins. IS-GW/SW/BW for top 3 monthly, at the end of the year the top 4 pilots win IS-PW/GW/SW/BW. Each mission only counts once towards this competition, missions flown in previous years can be reflown. The Kill Board statistics on the TC website are final.

2) Epsilon Pilot of the Month

Start Date: January 1, 2014
End Date: January 31, 2014
Groups involved: Epsilon squadron
Awards: IS-BR
Description: Epsilon's Pilot of the Month will be determined by the Squadron Commander at the end of each calendar month. All types of activity and participation will be considered in the decision, particularly that which benefits the squadron or TIE Corps as a whole.

3) Star Conflict Beacon Hunt

Start Date: January 6, 2014
End Date: January 31, 2014
Groups involved: Entire TC
Awards: IS-GW/SW/BW if three participants, IS-SW/BW if only two, etc.
Description: This will be a test of your skill to capture as many beacons as you can in one round with a victory. In layman's terms, in a Beacon Hunt mode game, capture the beacon as many times as you can in one round.

4) MP Ace of the TIE Corps

Start Date: January 1, 2014
End Date: December 31, 2014
Groups involved: Entire TC
Awards: IS-PW/GW/SW for the year, IS-GW/SW/BW monthly for the top 3 pilots
Description: The MP Kill Board will used to keep track of points. Each LoC earns you a point for the competition, and a DFC counts for 5 points. Whoever scores most points win. The numbers on the MP KillBoard at the end of the month are the numbers that are tallied. If there are three participants then IS-GW/SW/BW, if only two IS-SW/BW, etc. At the end of the year the top 3 pilots with the most points will receive IS-PW/GW/SW. XWA, XvT, Star Conflict, and Freelancer-Freeworlds are the authorized platforms for this competition.
