WO Report # 4 (2009-03-09)

This report was submitted by DEAN-PROF/VA Astin/SSSD Sovereign

Unfortunately, I wasn't around much of last week so not much has been done since last report. I did however do quite a bit of work today. Aside from fixing some academic record problems that was brought to my attention, I did a large amount of work on the new IWATS Core. The notes are now almost completely done, with only minor additions and tweaks that need to be done. Barring any serious problems, the new Core course should be online in the next 3-5 days. Which brings me to Cadet training...

Cadet training will consist of academic certification and flight certification, completed in that order. Passing IWATS core will satisfy academic certification. Flight certification is still in the works, and for the sake of getting a training program online soon a temporary system will be set in place. For now, prospective pilots will need to send in a pilot file from the platform of their choice that satisfies to be determined requirements. The requirements will come from flying original game content. In the future, the plan is to create custom training battles that will replace the old original game content requirements. The use of custom battles will both ensure that the pilot does indeed own a TIE Corps supported platform and also introduces the pilot to EHBL. As an alternative, a multiplayer option may also be allowed.

Well that's it for this week. I'll most certainly have much more news for you by this time next week.
