TIE Corps Command Report

Weekly Report #16 – Submission date: June 9th 2013

Introduction

Greetings,

As we get closer to a new release for The Karana Initiative competition, all I can say is, between the currently under testing XvT and TIE battles, the one which gets there first will be the one for Phase 3, while the other will go for Phase 4. Hopefully, that will allow everyone to take part in this competition.

COL Zósite continues his immense task of updating the TIE Corps database for its launch. As it was expected, there are some issues regarding automatic data transfer, which is likely to be the problem that delays its release the most. We ask for your patience on this, as we much rather do all this right, rather than fast.

LC Dempsey has mentioned in her report earlier today that we will experiment on allowing an IS-SW for a squadron level competition. That is true. The whole idea behind this is to reward larger scale competitions properly, even if the scale concerns time, and not size. What this means is, if there is a squadron-wise competition that has an appropriate number of rounds, in which round awards an IS-BW, there is no point in rewarding an overall winner with another IS-BW. As such, the winner of each round is awarded the proper IS-BW, and overall winner is awarded the IS-SW, allowing the runner up to be awarded the IS-BW. This measure is another way to try and encourage activity at the squadron level, allowing more chances of being awarded higher medals. We hope you take advantage of it.

For her performance as Delta Squadron Commander, LC Dempsey has been awarded no less than the Gold Star of the Empire! I’ve said time and again that Delta Squadron makes me a lot proud, and Dempsey must get credit for it. That’s how it’s done. Congratulations, Dempsey!

We have had more MSEs submitted this week. Medals are still to be recommended, tho. Stay tuned.

Once again there were some comments regarding the upcoming game Star Citizen. It does sound promising concerning the TC, and I appreciate the members who are more involved at this to update me on its progress. Thank you!

Quotes of the Week

1 – LCM Kyle Kroan: “News travel fast: the TCCOM is getting married! Those of you who did not get an invitation are hereby authorized to set up temporary camp in the Admiral's personal quarters for the duration of his honeymoon. I have the codes for the booze locker.”

You probably do…but what makes you think that this is my actual booze locker, and not a diversion? ;)

2 – MAJ Elwood the Brave: “As I am married for the second time and lucky now I am 50/50 about the congratulations/condolences....”

I’ll take my chances :)
