TIE Corps Command Report

Weekly Report #6 – Submission date: March 31th 2013

Introduction

Greetings,

It seems there is an epidemic of computers going dead lately. COL Polo’s video card was busted, and my 2,5 year old laptop is dead for the third time. Anyone want to add to the list? Anyway, this means that this report comes directly from my 7 year old Toshiba laptop, the one I use for SW games, which looks more like a desktop and misses a “J”, is noisy, slow, and endless...I love it!

This is the last day of the month, which means that effective tomorrow MSEs are due. FA La’an is on top of things in this regard, and he’s doing an excellent job. In fact, he’s setting an example, as he has submitted his own Monthly Activity Report to me a few hours ago. For his activity, which was great in many levels, FA La’an has been awarded the Bronze Star of the Empire! Congratulations, La’an, and keep up the good work!

La’an has decided to accept submissions for The Karana Initiative 1a until April 5th, accepting the suggestion from some members who indicated their willingness to submit entries. I’d very much like to see more submissions indeed. Just a reminder, at the TAC’s discretion, Phase 1b is due in a matter of hours.

There have been some changes in the TC Admiralty Board, as AD Jacob Van Nowak has left the position of DEAN and moved to the reserves. I have no intentions of opening the position for applications, as it seems that this role is already been performed by the Training Office staff brilliantly, with AD Montte and his attaché, VA Tuba. The TIE Corps really appreciates the efforts of these fine officers!

Apparently, we’ve had some speed issues in EH.org once again, but the situation appears to have been rapidly resolved.

LC Dempsey has discovered that the current database has not been sending Delta members IWATS and Imperial University Courses’ completion mails to her. Be on the lookout if your Squadron Commander, and all chain of command for that matter, is receiving your notifications.

From my counts, I see there were 9 IWATS/IU courses approved this week. Mostly, this is due to the release of the new Superweapons Course, which appears to have reached high levels of popularity in a short period of time. It’s nice to see this kind of activity, congratulations, everyone!

Delta Squadron member LCM Shado Fenn has been promoted to Commander! Congratulations, CM Fenn!

Sadly, we lost one pilot on our roster this week. MAJ Giovanni Palermo has decided to move to the reserves and dedicate his time to his role as Security Officer. You are welcome to rejoin anytime, Gio, hopefully soon!

In the light of a new activity that has been created due to the release of the online game Star Conflict, there has been some discussion as to how this activity will be assessed in the TIE Corps. For now, we will treat it exclusively as Multiplayer activity, and each match won will earn a pilot a Legion of Combat. Victory in a COO approved event will earn a pilot the Distinguished Flying Cross. I’m very glad to see another form of activity rising. I hope you’ll have a good time!
